Mr. Corley said he would try to squeeze us in today; when I checked back 90 minutes later, he said someone would be here by noon. At just about noon, an employee named Melvin was at our door. In the pouring rain, Melvin found a hole in the flat portion of the roof (not the portion that Corley previously replaced) and made a temporary repair. Melvin could not have been nicer and he refused to charge us; he will send us an estimate for fixing the flat roof. We were so relieved and grateful; it's continuing to rain outside (a flood alert has been issued), but for now the leak has been stopped."

"Lewis and his crew did a fabulous job from start to finish. I have had horrible experiences with contractors in the past, overcharging for terrible work and making the situation worse, but Lewis was honest and reliable. He responded quickly to my call even during the busy season. He gave me an honest and fair estimate, and then continued to answer tons of questions that I had over the following months while I was getting other quotes and trying to make a decision. Lewis was patient and responsive, and after many months I decided to take the plunge. Lewis did everything above-board, getting the permits and approval from the historic district. His crew worked diligently through snow and freezing temperatures to completely replace my leaking roof and did a superb job paying attention to every tiny detail. Lewis communicated with me daily about everything they were doing. I have never had a contractor be so accommodating and communicative. I was so impressed with his crew that I ended up adding on more extras to the job and had him repair and refinish a roof on a second property I own. My roof looks spectacular now - much better than the old slate I had to replace. It was a complicated job which involved the replacement of a lot of rotten wood, old insulation, mansard roof sides and a flat roof with multiple old skylights. I would recommend him without any reservations to any of my friends and will use him for any roofing issue I ever have in the future."

"The job was bid out and after 6 bids I chose High's because of the reputation and the representative (Mark,who gave the bid). This was the highest bid of the cluster but I figured the quality and assurance of longevity of the business were both worth the extra cost. He was one of four that recommended a rebuild as sealing the chimney with this type of leak was "ineffective." The crew arrived 4 Feb to demolish the existing chimney.  We had several miscommunications and I was connected with MIke.  Mike has been with High's for many years now and assured me we would resolve the problem.  I am delighted to say, Mike and his crew stuck to it.  Although we had weather and other obstacles the final resolution was a beautiful chimney with no evidence of leaking provided by a professional crew.  Mark, Steve, Doug and Mike, thank you - great job!  The ratings for this job appear misleading, I have averaged all events and communication errors (apparently there was a website failure during this time) and the result is the above rating, illustrating worst case scenario.  The true measure of a professional organization is their ability to handle adverse events.  These guys managed the complications with aplomb.   If you have a potentially complicated chimney/firebox situation, call High's!  Anything older than 50 years and I would not trust it to anyone else."

"We originally hired Boyd to replace our part asphalt shingle, and part membrane roof. They did a great job, left the yard clean, and were very responsive to us. Later we did some remodeling and installed a new furnace, and we asked them to come out to be sure that the skylights and vent pipes were properly installed in the new roof. They were very responsive and quick to come when we needed them, and did the work quickly and efficiently."

As not visible I requested to use what was available and kindly offered to me at a significant savings (over ordering the color match) for which I was most appreciative. The two men, Dave and Israel were very nice and expertly completed the repair under time and under original quote! Of Note| while Patrick was getting the ladder from his car, a neighbor approached him to come and look at his roof and he absolutely DID DO IT after my estimate was done! I am so pleased with the service, efficiency, concern and care for the customer and the overall friendly professionalism from everyone I encountered!
