"I hired Home Run Roofing to replace by roof and gutters, and I could not be more satisfied with the overall experience. They offered multiple options for my project, all of which were affordable and competitive. Reviewing and selecting a work estimate and applying for financing was a 2025 customer service experience (as opposed to a CS experience expected 10, 15, or 25 years ago), which in part distinguished them from other companies I met with. When I had any questions during the project it was very easy to reach my my contact at Home Run Roofing to answer my question. The crew assigned to the job were outstanding. The work was completed within two days (one day for the roof, the second for the gutters) and everything was thoroughly cleaned up afterwards. Since the project's completion I have received multiple compliments about how beautiful the new roof and gutters look. "

"We have nothing but good things to say about Munz Roofing. From the first consult to the day of installation, everything was quick and seamless. Our sales consultant, Bryan Toff was incredible. We had 3 other estimates before we met with Bryan, and he was the reason we chose Munz. He was honest, knowledgeable, personable and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Anytime we had questions, he would get right back to us. The roof was replaced in one day and the crew left no mess behind. We are extremely satisfied with our choice to go with Munz!"

FAQs for natural slate roofing repair projects in Oxford, PA

If more than 30% of your slate roof is damaged, it's time to consider a full replacement. This will prevent further deterioration and avoid costly recurring repairs. A professional slate inspection (costing between $130 and $360) can confirm whether repairs are sufficient or if a full roof replacement is the better option.

A slate roof can last anywhere from 60 to 150 years, depending on factors like installation quality, regular maintenance and repairs, and local weather conditions. Compared to materials like clay and concrete, which often last around 50 years, a well-maintained slate roof offers superior longevity, durability, and long-lasting aesthetic appeal.

Yes, you can use temporary patch solutions, such as roofing cement or patchwork, to provide immediate relief for minor leaks or underlayment issues observed from inside your home. However, these provisional fixes do not replace the need for a permanent, professional exterior repair, which is necessary to ensure the long-term integrity and weather resistance of your slate roof.
