"I Just had Noe and his crew install a concrete patio with walkway and stairs around my house in Escondido. They laid rebar and finished the concrete forms I had started and did an excellent job. He was very responsive to my ideas and even was able to make some last minute changes to the set up I asked for. When the cement truck came, his team worked fast and clean, and our vision became a reality. For quality, communication, professionalism, attention to detail, and all for the best price,(I got 8 bids to compare) I highly recommend Noe and his team."

"Coastal Pavers did an excellent job on my patio. I contacted 4 companies and their price was most reasonable. Steve, the manager, was knowledgeable and very accommodating. The workers did an awesome job, working hard and efficiently. I would use the company again if needed. I can highly recommend Coastal Pavers."

"Kacen and his team pulled up our existing lawn, his design turned it into beautiful low maintenance, water wise front yard that exceeded our expectations. Kacen and his team arrived for work early everyday, worked in the rain, made sure our yard was clean at the end of each day. The entire transformation took 4 days. We received several proposals, C & H proposal was very reasonable and gave us the most for the price that we were able to have our driveway and side walks acid stained. Kacen returned on day 5 to make sure we were 100% satisfied. I have been in contact with Kacen since the project was completed, he is quick to reply and be available to assist. We are extremely satisfied."

Customers say: Quality work

"I hired Install It Direct for a large outdoor project with pavers, drainage, artificial turf, and a fire pit. The job turned into months of stress, follow up, and quality issues that should have been caught by proper supervision. Polymeric sand went down two drains because they were not covered. Several drains were misaligned, paver areas had drainage problems, border pavers around the turf were loose, and the shower drain was installed off center. The turf was the worst part. Within weeks, grass and weeds came through the middle in about 18 spots. The turf was uneven and lumpy, with poor infill coverage. I later hired another company to redo it, and they found recycled base contaminated with dirt, base depth from about 0.5 to 2 inches, and no weed fabric under the base. Most seriously, the fire pit exploded toward my girlfriend and caused injuries. An independent inspection found a loose gas connection. We are now pursuing legal action. I would not recommend this company."

"Jeremy is knowledgeable about plants but lacks integrity. He boasts knowledge about irrigation but continued to not fix any of the problems with my irrigation and added on more to the cost to troubleshoot until I was forced to reach out to someone who did know what they were doing who fixed the problem immediately while also noting that he hooked up the irrigation incorrectly. This cost me more money and I collected video proof of this which I sent to Jeremy who refused to acknowledge my email. Save yourself money and hassle."

"Pascuel installed a paver walkway. It turned out beautifully! He was a good communicator, asked questions when needed and was willing to change something that needed to be changed. He was polite and hardworking. He communicated what his schedule was and stuck to it. He worked until he finished the job. He was very clean in the work area, protecting our patio and he always cleaned up at the end of the day. He is very orderly and organized. Pascuel is trustworthy and honest and I think his pricing is very fair. He has a positive attitude, is polite and respectful. He also speaks excellent English. I would totally hire him again and recommend that you hire him too!! 8-)"

FAQs for interlocking pavers for patios, walks & steps installation projects in Pacific-beach, CA

To calculate your paver needs:

  • Determine how many pavers cover a square foot.

  • Determine how many square feet you need.

  • Add an additional 10% to 20% for breakage and waste.

  • Consider your pavers’ sizes.

Or, you can hire a local pro who you know will get the right measurements the first time. This way, you get your weekend back instead of spending it measuring square footage.

A pallet of pavers costs $300 to $700 on average, and each pallet covers 56 square feet. The exact price depends on the type, size, and quantity of pavers you choose. Buying in bulk can sometimes offer additional savings, especially for larger projects. Ask your pro how you can save on material costs.

To get the best prices on pavers:

  • Hire a professional landscaper: Pros often receive discounts on materials, which can make hiring them more cost-effective overall.

  • Shop at local building supply stores: Check for overstock or bulk purchase deals. Bulk purchasing can be more costly up front but save you money in the long run.

  • Buy directly from manufacturers: Purchasing from a local brickyard or paver factory can offer competitive prices, especially for large quantities.

The main difference between driveway pavers and patio pavers is their load-bearing capacity. Driveway pavers are designed to withstand the weight of vehicles, whereas patio pavers aren’t suitable for such heavy loads. You can use driveway pavers for a patio, but using patio pavers for a driveway could lead to damage. Always check the weight limits of pavers and consult with a professional installer to choose the right type for your project.

Paver patios cost more than concrete patios because the materials and installation methods require advanced techniques and skilled labor. They deliver enhanced aesthetic appeal and allow for easier small‑scale repairs without affecting property taxes. The higher expense arises from premium paver materials and intricate installation processes that deliver long‑lasting durability and design flexibility. This robust solution provides notable benefits over concrete alternatives, making it a valuable investment for homeowners.
