My call was answered by a live person, who was able to schedule my inspection on the day I requested (which was within three business days). She was able to get the radon tester setup prior to the inspection, so the inspector would have the results the day of the inspection. Also, she was able to schedule a pest inspection with another supplier for the same day. I was offered a 10% discount as an Angie's List member. The inspector was on time for the appointment, which was important since we had a limited time to perform the inspection. He allowed me to accompany him the entire time, and was careful to point out and explain all his concerns in terms I could understand. He was extremely observant and thorough. He even took the time to correct minor deficiencies that could be quickly remedied."

"Steve arrived a few minutes early, talked about what he would and would not be looking at, basically he looked at anything he could inspect without completely taking things apart (he did take access panels off, just advised that he wouldn't be breaking into walls). He didn't mind that I walked through with him and asked questions. He was very thorough and found a few things that while not deal-breakers, where things I definitely wanted resolved by the seller. He was professional and courteous and obviously has a good deal of experience. His report was thorough and quick, he gave me a hand written copy upon completion, e-mailed typed copy later that night (to me and my Realtor). <br /> Since the Radon test requires 48 hours, I didn't get that the same day, but he emailed the results shortly after he picked up the test device and got them himself. He also left a contact card and notes explaining the Radon test to the seller near the unit in the basement, as well as on the dining room table and on each door leading out of the house. <br /> I would definitely use him again! <br />"

"Guy was on time, professional, and amazingly THOROUGH. He is licensed, which isn't required in Ohio. He tapped each tile in the showers to see if any were loose. He looked at every wall seam -- floor and ceiling. He crawled around the attic and all over the roof. He examined the decks. He ran the dishwasher. He checked all the outlets and heating vents. He noted EVERY defect, safety concern, or code violation. One could get overwhelmed and frightened by the level of detail and problems he found, but they should remember that he's noting EVERYTHING. You can choose which major components you want to pursue with the owners and which things you can deal with slowly over time. He took a little longer to deliver the final report than he originally predicted but that was due to outside conflicts beyond his control. Furthermore, he always checked with us if it was okay to delay the report for a little while. Also, he gave us a preliminary report or major concerns very quickly so that we could react to the purchase agreement deadline. Guy knows all the building codes and found many things we wouldn't think to look for. I would highly recommend him -- he's worth every penny of his fee -- but I would caution customers to remember not to get frightened by the level of detail he finds -- he would probably find that level of problem in your current house, too!"
