"It went extremely quickly and well. It cost a great deal as they charged to move each heavy piece of furniture. I blame myself as I did not get any other bids -- had to decide and finish quickly -- and do not know if this was standard procedure. They did a great job of installing and very, very quickly. Again, I should have studied the billing a bit more up front to see exactly what I was paying for.
"

"I made an appointment for the next day with Jack, who arrived within 5 minutes of the time. He called a little ahead of time to let us know he was on the way.
Jack examined the carpet and, backed by decades of experience as an installer, knew just what to do. Nylon carpets, he explained, can sometimes expand in certain areas, depending upon how it was installed. (Note: I first called the company that sold and installed the carpet, Miami Rug & Carpet in Fort Lauderdale, to order service, but they didn't have the courtesy to call back. We do not recommend them for anything.)
Gradually, Jack moved the bulge from inside the bedroom near the door into the hallway and up to the stairway half-wall. Then he cut off a swatch measuring about 3/4" by 15", tacked down the new edge on new tackboard and...voila, the bulge was history.
I'm a fussy guy and will attest that the result was perfect, with no way to know that the carpet had gone through a nip and tuck procedure.

"

"Great to work with. Good people. Wonderful workers. They also helped find a threshold for a tiled area they did not do the work on and replaced a loose tile they did not install. And, when I called to let them know that an employee had accidentally stained the carpet the first day, they came immediately to patch the area. Nobody would be able to tell that there had been a problem there at all.
"

"There are a few tile places in Boynton to choose from but there is no comparison as far as quality, service and professionalism at Capitol Carpet and Tile! We started shopping for quality vinyl planking and started off at a big box store that everyone knows about. Their quality was not what we expected and they had very little choices for commercial grade vinyl. In addition, their lack of customer service was a joke. For such a large store, we couldn't locate one person to assist us so we left. This is where Capitol comes in. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by Gabriel. He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about all the lines of vinyl that he sells. We are very picky so we spent a couple of weeks deciding, taking home many samples. By the way, these aren't tiny little pieces they lend you, but big boards with all of the product information and pictures on the back. After a while, we went back to purchase what we chose but we weren't really excited about the pattern. Gabriel took the time and told us "don't buy anything that you really don't want". Now, in steps the manager Nick. He also assisted us and gave us other options to look at. Suffice to say, we bought vinyl that day for our entire house. Not only did he tell us when it will be delivered, he called us the day of delivery and gave us the expected time frame and every detail. The service here is impeccable and the quality of the vinyl is amazing. And no, they are not "expensive" as you get what you pay for. Nice job Gabriel and Nick, you won us over with your service and knowledge..Stu & Deanna Levy!"

"The new garage floor install was done to highlight a classic muscle car. It was designed in the checkered-flag pattern w/ Diamond Grid-Loc tiles and it came out beautiful. From the initial contact w/ Nicholas to the final install by the tile man, everything was handled as professionally as I expected. It's obvious why Amazon Wood Designs has an "A" rating on Angie's List. I would use them again, and have already recommended them and the Diamond Grid-Loc tile to my classic car friends. The cost of my Angie's List subscription paid for itself just by this using this recommended company. THANKS ANGIE'S LIST and THANKS AMAZON WOOD DESIGNS.
Mike Hea"

"Mr. Lewis came to our house. Measured the entire job and gave us a detailed quote, including materials, costs, and labor (no other company, including the large retailers would or could do this for us). He was the only company that followed up on the process and called us back to see where we were with the process. When we had questions about the quality of the carpet and the type of strands and stain wear protection he investigated, got us answers, and called us back in a timely manner with a response. We choose J.B. Lewis because of his committment to giving us the best service and his carpet was just as good as the Mohalk (it is actually made by the same company.)
"

"First I would like to mention that we had a great experience with our sales person Charlie. He went out of his way to make sure we got what we wanted and what would work best for our staircase. He personally came to the house to measure and let us bring the sample boards from the showroom to see how it would look with our existing tile flooring and new paint.
The initial scheduling and installation went fine as well. Everyone came on time and called when they said they would to confirm the appointment. The installers were in and out pretty quick and the installation was acceptable.
Our real issue with Capital came when we started noticing some of the carpeting on the risers coming loose. No big deal, things happen. We called to schedule a warranty repair. In normal circumstances we are only available on weekends, they said that the installation crews were about 2 weeks out if we wanted a Saturday, understandable. They called the next day and said they had an opening on Friday. I told Capital's office that I just happened to have my electrical contractor on site between 1:30pm and 4:30pm. They told me that they would call before they came to make sure someone would be there. The installer showed up at our door about 10am without a prior call. Of course no one was home. He called me and I said that I told the office no one would be at the house until about 1:30pm. He said he couldn't do the repair we had to reschedule.
My wife called Charlie to tell them what happened and he basically said he has no control over the installers. The scheduling office called back a few minutes later and we rescheduled the appointment for Saturday 5/23. I was planning on being at the house most of the day anyway due to other work. They called on Thursday 5/21 to confirm and told me the installer would call me by 10am to give me a time frame. My phone is on my person at all times and I was home all day I received no call and no one came by.
Charlie, our sales rep, followed up 5/28 to see if everything was ok with the warranty work. I told him "no one called or showed up. I can't take time off to wait for an installer and I don't want to give up another day off waiting around for someone to come and fix the carpet, I'll make the repairs myself." He apologized and said he would contact the office.
Bottom line is, this is probably a fluke occurrence and people do make mistakes. I actually chose Capital based on Angie's List reviews. The carpet is good, the installation is ok (except for the bubbling risers and a couple of visible attachments) and Charlie at the Royal Palm Branch was great to work with. My issue lies with the communication of the installers and scheduling office. I can't tell anyone that they were horrible or not to use this company, I just had an unpleasant experience in the end.
"
