"Very punctual, installers were great.  Can't see any seams!  The carpet is beautiful!  Criticisms: 1.  The salesperson never followed up with my quote and I had to call to find out the status; 2.  They measured incorrectly when they came to do the estimate so the installers didn't have enough carpet to do the job when they originally came.  They had to order more carpet and then come out a second time to finish the job.  3. They forgot to call me to tell me the additional carpet was in and to schedule the install. <br />"

"It went very well. They were very understanding about the date of installation (we had ongoing construction and had to delay the installation for several months). They arrived on time and installed the carpet well in a minimum time period. <br />"

"Very well. Our salesman, Eric, ordered a sample of the wood which had been set aside for our order, so that we could be sure we were satisfied with the color. The installation team was great -- they arrived on time and completed the job in one day -- very pleasant and professional. We love our new floor!"

"The 2-man crew showed up at the appointed time and vacummed the entire carpeted areas to be cleaned. They used a specific machine  designed to scrub, rinse, lift the pile and extract the dirty residue. All and all I thought the job was well done.  My carpets were not excessively dirty but the results were acceptable.  The hight traffic area in front of my husband's recliner did not turn out as well as the rest of the carpet. It took approximately 10 hours to dry enough to re-vacuum and put furniture back. The carpet was cleaned by 11 am on the scheduled day and I revacuumed and put furniture back the following morning. <br />"

"From beginning to end, there were professionals that were professional, knowledgeable, and truthful of what could be done. The sub-contractors outside of their design and cabinets, were first class rated as well. Patricia Soto, the designer, was spot-on with options, best use of space, considering and including all requests - exceptional. Jay, whom I spoke with and met a couple of times, professional, reasonable, and listens to any concerns. Ray, the cabinet installer - exceptional and very knowledgeable in managing installation from planning to modifying existing structures to meet the customer, electrician, as well as plumbing needs I will submit separate reviews for the sub-contractors - Franky's Drywall, Treasure Coast Electrical, Coastal Plumbing, and Vaughn's Glass & Mirror - all professional, timely, cleaned after themselves daily, and completed the work without hiccups. I also used LBU Lighting, a lighting store who stand by their products, professional, excellent customer service and have different options for lighting."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Palm City, FL

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
