"STAY AWAY! Once they get your $ you’re DEAD to them. Bought over 200K in appliances/fixtures. Sold me a discontinued wine cooler that never worked. Rather than replace they tried to fix- it’s been four months, STILL WAITING! Sold me a beer dispenser with no drain!! No interest in rectifying their fails. THEY don’t even know how to use their fancy Miele appliances. No how-to videos from either the manufacturer or Ferguson. Think about it… I spent over 200K with this company and I AM NOTHING to them. What chance do you think you’ll have⁉️Try your best to buy from someone else."

Onsite Construction has provided residential and commercial construction services since 2006. We stress leadership, quality, material, and workmanship in every project we are a part of. We learned early on that problem-free projects begin with a solid team, all in close communication with the principal owner. We also learned that because a strong team is so important to the outcome of a project, managing the process should be considered part of the contractor’s responsibilities - and it is. Jason Fausette is a hands-on owner who ensures all projects taken on by Onsite Construction are completed to the satisfaction of the homeowner.

"Tony and his crew did an excellent job restoring my ceiling back to original state. Very professional, detail oriented. They protected very carefully all areas under the ceiling and next to it; floors, furniture, windows, walls, countertops, etc. I’m very impressed and pleased with their work quality. Highly recommended. Thank you!"

FAQs for second story addition building service projects in Palm Harbor, FL

For many homeowners, building up is worth the expense because it provides the extra bedrooms or living areas that can’t be accommodated within the existing footprint. A larger, updated home often commands a higher resale price, recouping a sizable share of the project cost while allowing you to stay in the neighborhood you love. Run the numbers with a real estate agent and contractor to ensure the expected return and day-to-day benefits align with your goals.

Whether it makes more sense to build up or out depends on your lot, budget, and local code. Building up preserves yard space and involves less foundation work, but you may need to vacate the home during construction. Building out avoids staircases and can proceed while you stay put; however, it encroaches on the yard and may face setback limits. Compare both options with your contractor before making a decision.

A structural engineer will first inspect the existing foundation for cracks, footings, and load capacity. Depending on the findings, the crew may pour new concrete footings, install steel or concrete piers, add reinforced beams, or tie additional rebar into the slab. These upgrades redistribute the weight of the new floor and bring the structure up to code. Your contractor will outline the specific reinforcement plan and timeline once the engineering report is complete.
