"I live in Apollo Beach and had a sprinkler pump that had stopped working. I called the people that installed the pump. It was about 5 years old. They told me that I needed a new pump and that the pump I had was not the correct one (even though their company installed it).That a new 40' line from the well to the pump was needed. They quoted me $3500. I knew better. I called Bay Area Pump and Well Service right here in Apollo Beach. Wesley Carter and his son came out right on time. They diagnosed the problem as a bad check valve at the well connection and replaced it. They also cleaned out my jet pump and redid the input plumbing into the pump. Installed a ball valve. He explained to me why and how the pump malfunctioned and what he did. They were respectful, courteous and professional. Their charge for parts and service was $200 that included a service charge. They saved me a lot of money. They will be recommended to my family and friends if they need this service.They are honest and reliable."

"Just purchased a home and had a few components of the water filtration system flagged during the home inspection. We hired Next Plumbing to address the issues, but when they came onsite they identified a number of additional components that were ready to fail within the next few months. The quote seemed high so we called in another company. They confirmed the same parts were ready to fail and provided a similar quote. So we went with Next Plumbing and we ended up replacing the entire home filtration system, as well as the pool filter, pump and heater. Michael, who did the work, was an absolute pleasure. "First, I need to apologize to Mr. Pruitt.  I thought I had left a glowing review the last time he came out but evidently it didn't publish because I can;t find it here anywhere.  We bought our current house in March of 2014.  It is on a well and we could see by the orange stains in the toilets and tubs that we had a problem.  We had a new water softening system put in by another company.  In December of that year the pump stopped working and we called Mr. Pruitt.  Despite being a new customer he came out the same day and diagnosed the problem.  We had "the worst water he has seen in 40 years".  He replaced the pump and the tanks and cleaned my well.  He was courteous, knowledgeable and professional. Thirteen months later (just outside the one year warranty) the pump died.  <br> <br>Mr Pruitt came out and delivered the distressing news that the pump failed because the water was just so bad.  He installed a higher HP commercial grade pump at cost.  He didn't have to do that.  It wasn't his fault the well is so bad.  But he is a really nice guy who wants to do right by his customers.  I was very grateful to him for working with me on the cost.  He and his guy worked their behinds off all day on a Saturday and he didn't charge me any labor costs.  And if that weren't enough, he cajoled the manufacturer of the pump itself to give me a better warranty on the pump. He really went above and beyond. <br> <br>He has been back twice since (once to diagnosed and repair a faulty pressure switch and once to repair a cracked pipe) and has refused to charge me anything.  He drives almost 1.5 hours from his place in St. Pete up to my home in New Port Richey and won't even accept gas money for his trouble.  <br> <br>If you need a reputable and professional well and pump service you should definitely work with Earl Pruitt.  He's a rock solid man who runs a rock solid company and they don't make them like that much anymore.  Thank you Mr. Pruitt! <br>"

"Woke up to no running water, I called Mike at Hillsborough Pump and Well at 7:30 am, he was there by 9:30. After checking the system and explaining what he found, he gave me the bad news, both my pump and tank needed to be replaced. I paid my $95 check out fee, (which he later applied to the repair) and told him I was going to get some other quotes. He was very helpful and provided me a written quote with specifics on the type of equipment he recommended. After making several calls and researching a bit online, I found his price to be competitive, but not the lowest, most importantly he was able to start right away. Mike came back the same day around 12:30 and started the job. Everything went fine, the job was done much faster than I had expected, then Mike ran into a problem. We were getting water to the house but not in the house. After spending a bunch of extra time he discovered a piece of the old pump had clogged one of the pipes inside the house. He did not charge me any extra for the additional labor or materials needed to correct the issue. I appreciated the extra effort and his professionalism. <br />"
