"I called Home Angels because I thought there was a leak in my bathroom. The person who made the appointment for me was nice and an appointment was quickly made with John. John and an associate showed up on time and got right to work. Professional, knowledgeable and personable, he spent time with my husband and myself explaining everything he'd done to find our problem and exactly what our problem was... Long story short, there was nothing to repair; I'd used the wrong paint when redoing the walls and the stuff I used was reacting somehow with... something.. and started bubbling. "As I was lowering my garage door at about 1:30 in the afternoon, I heard a loud pop and the door dropped down slightly on one side. I discovered that a cable had broken on one side. As we a fairly new to both this house and the area, I wasn't sure about who to call. There was a sticker on the door from Door to Door Enterprises. I was doubtful they would still be around since this house was built in the mid-90's and most other suppliers/installers are long gone. I checked online and found they still had a listing. Then I noticed an Angie's List reference and immediately checked them out. Everything seemed good so I decided to make the call which was answered by Yvonne who had to pull over to take my information. I was pleasantly surprised when she advised me that Earl Jr was working not to far away and would be over that afternoon. Around 5:00 PM Earl called to say that he would be leaving his current site and would get to me around 6:00 or so. He arrived just after 6:30 and proceeded to repair my broken cable as well as the two broken hinges that I didn't know about, retuned the lift and made the door function more smoothly and quietly than before. As a parting gesture he programmed both of my vehicles to operate the lift which I had been unable to successfully accomplish. He was a very charming and competent young man who made sure that my garage door was functioning and that our home was secure for the night. I couldn't be more pleased with the responsiveness and professionalism of the Company. <br />"

"We called for an estimate to repair what we believed was a leak in our roof. An appointment was made for the a couple days later. Vic arrived promptly. He went into the attic to survey the area where we saw evidence of a leak. He determined that the leak was a result of condensation from uninsulated Freon pipes. He took the time to take multiple pictures of the area and explain what would be needed to fix the issue. He refused to take any compensation for his time. We could easily have wound up with costly roofing repairs had another company simply surmised the damage was from a leak in the roof and had not taken the time to climb into the attic and survey the area. We will definitely call V E Quillen if we need roof repairs in the future."
