"Drew Painting did an outstanding job painting our home in 1 day!!! They moved furniture, covered things and were very respectful while they were here. They cleaned up afterwards and even helped us get our TV reprogrammed correctly. It was a wonderful experience, and the best part is my back doesn't hurt from a week (or more) of painting!!! I would definitely give them a call if you're looking to spruce up your interior. They also do exterior painting and power washing."

"Several years ago, my wife and I were asking friends and family if they knew of a good painting contractor to work with while preparing our home for sale. We were very fortunate when a close friend gave us a business card from Ascent Painting. We were told that they were the best in the area and had very competitive prices. They worked with us to get our home ready for sale, on time, and the work was awesome. It was so good that we had them paint our new home! THEY ARE FIVE STARS ALL DAY!!!"

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Palmyra, PA

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
