"repair and paint ceiling as result of roof damage.  This was an unusual ceiling with architectural variances to it, <br /> in a large room.  Storm had caused roof damage which resulted in staining and cracks in ceiling.  I was only needing to do the ceiling and was concerned that after painting the ceiling the walls and woodwork would need repainting. They were able to correct the damage in the celling ( which also had texture) and paint so that it blended in with the rest of the room.  So I was glad I didn't have to repaint the whole walls and woodwork.  The do very good work and conscientious of the what the customer is saying and wants.  They were able to get the job completed in a day.  They are very nice people, I enjoyed having them here. <br />"

"The whole process went smooth and easy. From picking up the stone ( they had a nice variety), to pricing ( very competitive) to scheduling and installation. We had 2 slabs because of our L shape and I was nervous the vines in the granite would not have a flow. It looks amazing, just got it installed today. Thank you Tara for dealing with all my questions. You guys are awesome!"

"I had a ramp built so me and my husband and dogs would not fall. The old steps was getting bad. I also wanted some kind of covering to protect us from falling. They had these strips and put them in the middle of every 2 boards. I ask several several times as they were putting these down. Will these strips stay and can we shovel over it and that it wouldn't come off. His answer was no and no they would stay in place. I asked if they would stay even in rain and snow and ice. And can I shovel over it. He said yes and yes and yes. Okay then that fantastic. No it wasn't. First frost, my husband fell down the ramp as the strips were coming off! All 3 dogs fell at others time just during frost and some slight icing. I texted him and told him my husband fell & those strips are not staying down. What should we do as he said they would stay. He suggested a roll of grip paper and cover the whole ramp and then staple it down or nail it down. I ask how much (thinking that he would honor his job). Said the roll of grip paper is $40 & he would charge me $100 in labor. A total of $140. I said no thank you, that was too much as we already paid for the gripped ones. Never answered me. So his work is not honored if something they said will work didn't...We live on a tight budget and we are elderly and I am so very upset about it. I would not refer this man (sorry) for any other jobs for anyone. <br />"

FAQs for handyman service projects in Pana, IL

Winterizing shields your home’s structure and key systems from snow, ice, and freezing temperatures. By sealing drafts and tuning up heaters, you cut energy waste, extend the life of appliances and windows, and avoid surprise repair bills. A small up-front investment keeps rooms cozy and protects the value of your biggest asset all winter long.

Yes, it’s important to prepare your sprinkler system for the winter. Blowing out the lines and insulating above-ground parts keeps valves and pipes from splitting when temperatures drop. A quick winterization visit costs far less than repairing burst components in spring, and it ensures your lawn--and your wallet--stay in good shape once the thaw hits.

A full home winterization plan goes beyond sealing windows and pipes. You might schedule a home energy audit, cover outdoor furniture, service the snowblower, swap smoke-detector batteries, add outlet gaskets, and hang storm doors. Each step beefs up your home’s protection, cuts drafts, and lowers the chance of costly cold-weather damage.
