"They took down my 93-year-old slate roof (a dangerous and dirty job) and replaced it with asphalt in 10 hours. A good sized team with the right equipment. I watched all day and was impressed that no cut corners came into the job. They were very careful to do it right.The team of roofers were under a capable supervisor. They â flexedâ and put a little extra (material or labor) in, when something unexpected was discovered, or a slight customization to make the result better was called for. "Acorn Home Improvements,Inc. did work on my elderly mother's home. The house needed new windows. The old ones were drafty and were hard to open. In addition to replacing the windows, we decided to have additional insulation installed in the attic. Both crews, one for the windows and the other for the insulation, were professional, polite, on time and did a great job cleaning up after themselves. It was a pleasure to deal with a company that was accommodating and completed the work as agreed upon. Mom and I found their pricing was very reasonable. Since I live out of state, I was not able to be there for the entire process so it's comforting to know that there are companies that are honest and reliable. When the project was completed mom was thrilled with her new windows and how easy they were to open and close. chose them.  Nick and Tom were real professionals.  A detailed
explanation was received after a full and thorough examination was
preformed.  They handled and negotiated on my behalf with the insurance
company which resulted in a higher than expected claim resolution.  The
work was performed as scheduled.  Thier crew was neat, courteous and
fast.  The total job was completed in about 4 days. (6600 sq. ft.) 
The result was amazing.  The roof is beautiful and the workmanship and follow-up
