"We met a few days prior to the start of the job. My wife and I had a vacation scheduled and the work was done while we were away. James kept us in the loop during the whole process. He found a few issues with rot in the framing of deck roof and the chimney as he opened things up. We added those two items onto the list of work. James sent us pictures along the way. When we returned home the project was 90% done. Because of the framing work that needed done and some weather issues the job took 2 days longer than projected...no worries, that happens on every project no matter what. It was not because of anything James did wrong, actually it was because he wanted the fix done right and then there was rain. It took James and his team 2 more days. We did a walk around the property on monday after we returned while the team was still there and reviewed what was still to be done, and what needed a little extra attention. By the end of the next day the job was done. In total the Townsley team was there 9 days. During that time they repaired the decking and framing of the roof, removing the old and replace the roof shingles including all new drip edge, caps, flashing and shingles, replaced 2 skylights, power washed the siding, gutters, eaves, chimney, painted all exterior surfaces including shutters (after removal), siding, gutters, eave, soffit, downspouts, exterior wood trim and the ceiling of the deck area, and several stucco repairs that were needed. Throughout the process, James' communication was excellent, and the product of his work was fantastic...the house looked brand new. WELL DONE! A great value as well. When done, the team cleaned up the mess that was present, including cleaning the deck, returning the outdoor furniture to its original location, and blowing the dust from the property. Christmas Day we had a leak I called and he answered and came out the next day to repair my roof. "I chose Ivan's company after lots of research on how to best solve my problems with gutters clogging. My house is an average 2 story colonial style and is surrounded on most sides by lots of trees. The gutters would clog up once a month and required me going on roof and manually cleaning out. I was growing sick of this chore and feared for my safety. Also, during a recent heavy set of rainfall episodes, the gutters were clogged and rain water poured like a waterfall over the one side of my home and resulted in some water in basement. After that, I decided to search angies list and found Ivan's company. I then research the Gutterglove product and decided to go with Ivan after meeting him for estimate. He explained everything perfectly. The above cost breakdown was $2850 for gutterglove pro gutter guards installed with gutter adjustments and an extra $300 for the larger 3 x 4 inch downspouts. The work was performed about 2 weeks after initial estimate and took about 1 full day to complete. "Joe Fisher ,the owner, called the day we put in the search for roofing help. He was very personable and friendly. He talked a great deal about himself ,family and his roofing experience so we hired him. I was a little disappointed we never received the formal typed contract. He related stories his assets were frozen and he brought another hand written paper? The roof appears to be fine so far and the flashing is holding up. His methods are a little shaky so I don't know about the warranty but so far so good!"

"We had inspections and estimates from four highly rated companies appearing on Angle's list and on other sites. Each provided a bid for the same work with similar or identical materials, and found a high degree of consistency among the bids. All four diagnosed the problem as requiring the replacement of the entire roof for the best and most lasting outcome and they proposed nearly identical steps to do the job. All recommended replacing two skylights along with the roof, adding ridge vents in sections where there were none, and noted the likelihood of needing to replace plywood decking in at least some areas.
