"The tree trimming was done in one afternoon. Trees looked great and all the debris was removed. The removal of the 21 trees was done in stages. All trees were felled and the light branches were ground in one day. The stumps were ground a day or two later. About a week later the logs were removed and the holes left by the stumps were filled. This work was done in January so we had some weather delays. Strobert employees worked quickly and safely removed our trees with no damage to our property other than some ruts in the grass which they fix. We were well please with their work and the price."

They asked where I would like the wood stacked before starting the job and asked if I had any special requirements before they began. They stacked the logs perfectly and professionally in the spot I designated for them before they began. They cleaned up all the little pieces of wood from my yard and driveway before leaving the job. They were very polite and courteous throughout the whole process. Trevor even asked me if I wanted some logs he found under my hedges cut up side he noticed them while cleaning up - I totally forgot about the logs and greatly appreciated the fact he noticed them and asked to split them before leaving. "He was good about calling initially and writing up a proposal.  However, he forgot about it or something of that nature because of instead of taking 1-2 weeks as he promised it took over a month.  And, I had to keep calling him to remind him because he kept forgetting.  He was very nice but somehow I think my job was getting lost in the shuffle.  When the guy came to do the work, I didn't know he was coming and he just showed up.  Luckily I was home.  He ground the stumps.There was a problem with one of them and the owner was going to check on it and get back to me.  The owner never got back to me on the decision and the worker just told me it couldn't be done.  That upset me since I had questions about it but the owner was not there.  Also, all the chips were left.  I told him I wanted them removed, but I the worker said it would cost extra.  I had assumed they would be taking them.  I wish he had asked me about this so I could have prepared.
All in all, the job was done appropriately and the worker did clean up.  However, I was dissatisfied with the management of the job.

"*  The top layer of grass was removed from the section between the fence and the driveway, but they didn't clear down far enough
   to allow the Red Stone to set down in the ground where the grass had been.  The weed barrier fabric was put in place almost
   level with the driveway, so that most of the Red Stone is driveway level or above.  This means that the stones keep falling out of
   the border area into the driveway.
*  Rather than being removed, the weeds were just turned-over in the garden beds.
 
*  The pots were placed in the gardens as requested. However, more than 1.5  to 2 inches of mulch were installed  -
   as much as 4 to 5 inches in most areas, totally covering the Vinca Minor plants in one bed. When I asked about the plants
   having been covered over, Tom said they would be fine.   When I asked if they could spread any "extra" mulch in a bed located
   on the other side of the house that also contains Vinca Minor, he said covering those plants is "not recommended".  I questioned 
   why, then they'd covered the same plants on the bed on the other side of the house.  He didn't answer.
*  Instead of "neatening or straightening" the existing beds in the backyard as I'd requested, they just edged those beds following
    the edges that had grown in crookedly.
    When I talked to Tom Garro about coming back to address the edging of the garden beds, he said that he was to "define the existing beds" and he said he'd done that and wasn't coming back.  I'm guessing he wasn't thrilled that on the day they arrived I'd asked him to place six pots in the back garden as well.  I don't know.  I just know that I had to try to uncover all the young Vinca plants that they'ed covered with 3 to 4 inches of mulch; and I had to try to straighten/neaten the edging of the gardens along the sides and back of our backyard.  That was frustrating because that was what we'd paid Land Details to do.
