"I experienced a house fire in early December 2024 which required my entire house to be rewired from fire and water damage. I could not be happier with the service I received from Andrathon! Their team was courteous with attention to detail, provided expert advice and worked quickly to ensure that I was out of my house for the shortest amount of time possible. I can rest easy knowing that the wiring in my house is now so much safer than it was before!"

"Both electricians/contractors were very professional and friendly. I showed them the room (aka a nursery with a vaulted ceiling) as well as the ceiling light replacement, and they immediately got to work. They finished in less than 30 minutes instead of the 1 hour I was told over the phone. They were honest and charged for half-hour."

"I highly recommend Breaker Brothers! They came out to install new outlets in my care home, set up an outdoor outlet for our carport. During the process, they noticed an issue with the wiring from a recent furnace and heat pump installation. It could have turned into a serious problem, but they promptly identified the mistake and fixed it without hesitation. Their work was timely, professional, and focused on safety. I’m so grateful for their attention to detail and expertise. If you’re looking for reliable electrical work, this is the company to call!"

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in Parkland, WA

There are several telltale signs that your home is due for an electrical upgrade. You may need to rewire your house if your lights are constantly flickering or your circuit breaker keeps tripping. If you feel mild electric shocks when you touch light switches, hear buzzing sounds, or notice burning smells, you may need to rewire your house, too. Discolored or burnt-looking switches and faceplates are another crucial warning sign.

Properly installed copper wiring in a residential property can last as long as 50 to 100 years in some cases, but many homes over 30 years old are due for an upgrade. That’s the timeline that many experts recommend, even if it is only a partial update to accommodate technological advancements, increased power demands, and changing safety requirements.

At $3 to $5 per square foot, the cost to wire a 2,000-square-foot house ranges from $6,000 to $10,000, on average. This can depend on many factors, like the age and complexity of the house and how easy it is for contractors to access the areas they need to get the job done. Opening and repairing walls can further add to your total cost.
