However, when the owner was contacted (he's busy so it took a while) he came out personally and arranged for an alternative fix to the roof. The owner, Dave Garner, did this at no charge, without being asked. We still don't know if we have a permanent solution but we're really impressed with Dave and the company's business practices. They brought the roof up to current code, (the roof no longer complied with local codes), and worked with our chimney company to install the flashing properly.
