"After the initial consultation they forgot to send me the estimate until I requested it. We had discussed adding two new bathroom vents and we were told it wasn't a problem. They were the cheapest bid for the same materials as all the other companies we had spoken with, so we set a date to start the work. On the day of the install no one showed up and I received a call a few hours later stating they didn't have a crew and we rescheduled it for a few days later. Again, no one showed up. We rescheduled it a final time and someone finally came to do the install. The crew that came did a good job with the install but the clean-up with the magnetic sweeper was not great. There were nails, roof tiles, and debris that was not hard to see and was left for us to clean. They completed the job rather late and I noticed the next morning that the bathroom vents had not been cut out like discussed. I called and was told that because I never told them where to put the holes they couldn't do it. I was not aware I was responsible for letting them know where to cut the holes. I was also home all day and no one came to ask me where to cut the holes. They offered to come and cut the holes after they were finished but after taking off three days from work already and the roof was complete I did not want them to tear it up. I got a new roof but I would rather pay more money to have a company that is more responsible and respectful to the customer and their time."

True professional, very knowledgeable of home construction which helped in performing structural repairs (rafters, support beams, laths, chimney close-in, new decking, and total reroof). He's very confident in his team's workmanship, skills and quality as evidenced by his good workmanship warranty. He was a good team player on our project, offering advice and counsel on materials, the conversion of my wood burning fireplace to an electric fireplace and other improvements that we plan to make in the house. He and his team did an excellent job of cleaning up/hauling off scrap and waste materials from the project. As seniors at 83, we are very thankful to have selected Hurricane Roofing (Merriel) for our project...good quality work, no hassles, very competitively priced, honest and hi-five job! Note: This project resulted from a tornado and a huge oak falling on the roof that caused structural damage and a roof replacement."

"We had two excellent experiences with Vance’s company his week, both related to our roof. We had a tankless water heater installed by another company and they use Vance’s company for the roof work related to the vent lines. Mike did a beautiful job on the vent lines. But then he went the extra mile and did a pretty thorough inspection of our roof and the fireplace chimney cap. Our roof is in generally good condition at seven years old, but needed some TLC - sealing, caulking, etc. And the fireplace chimney cap had been bugging me for years! Not anymore! "JD replaced the roof on my townhome in Braselton, GA. I live in Houston, TX and manage my own rental property. He started the job at 6 am and sent drone shots of the completed work by 10:30 EST. I was amazed. He also sent pics as the work was being completed. He is first class and stays in direct contact with customer so there is now miscommunication. We paid him 1/2 upfront and the remainder the day of completion. This was a small job for him and I'm grateful he took it on for us.
