"I have used this company for 3 years to do annual trimming on a large number of bushes and to add new pine straw to my beds. They are on time and do a good job. This year the lead person Antonio was very helpful and considerate of my needs. Plan to use them again next year."

"My natural driveway was flooding after every heavy rain. Indigo offered a plan and implemented their solution. No more flooding! I couldn't be more pleased with the price, the men who worked tirelessly with an eye to every detail, or the high level of communication with the owner. Even weeks after the job was completed, the owner called to be sure I was still happy with my driveway. Indigo exceeded all expections and I enthusiastically recommend them for any landscaping job or weekly maintenance needs. Very, very satisfied customer!"

"Installation was fine, but after it was done getting them to address grass that was dead was horrible. I tried many times to get them to replace grass that died after it was installed, but they never answered me."

"If you want the job done right...look elsewhere. Jay and his team seem incompetent and inexperienced. I paid nearly $8000 for a sprinkler and sod installation. My only request was open communication and knowledge on how the handle the lawn/sprinkler after the installation. What I received was false promises and mostly dead sod. The first red flag was when pallets of sod sat in my yard for days until installed. They even had someone come to water the uninstalled sod, but unfortunately that didn't help. The sod they laid was brown. I was assured and told "give it time." The lawn got worse. I paid for a full lawn and received barely half. On top of this headache I found out that they outsourced for the sprinkler system. I'm sure this is a common practice. However, I only heard this when the other company threatened to put a lean on my house since they never received payment from Scapabilities. This sincerely made me doubt the credibility of this company. I never heard from the Jay past the end of the summer and into the fall/winter. I sent several emails asking for updates. Once spring came around I informed them I would be sharing my experience is they were willing to fix the job they failed at completing. I was informed that sure enough the job would be completed to a satisfactory result. They sent a team over to rip up the dead sod and said they would soon would replace it. After that they never returned and ignored all calls and emails. Here I am with a lawn full of dirt/weeds in the back. No sign of the sod that would supposedly "come around with time." I'm tired of a dead lawn that I paid for. I'm tired of the run around. I just want what I paid (and most likely over paid) for. I will be willing to increase my rating if this company decides to actually finish the job, but I doubt they ever will. Until then I recommend you choose a more reputable, credible, experienced and all around more professional company."

FAQs for lawn and garden sprinkler system installation projects in Pawleys-Island, SC

While drip irrigation systems have higher upfront costs, they can save you money in the long run. By delivering water directly into the soil with minimal evaporation and runoff, drip irrigation systems conserve water and improve efficiency. This means better performance and results for your landscaping, and cost savings over the system's lifespan.

Yes, irrigation systems can add value to your home, especially when installed with high-quality materials and a solid design. A well-irrigated landscape enhances curb appeal and can attract potential buyers. However, poor design or installation may reduce performance and even decrease your property's value. Hiring an expert for installation and performing regular maintenance is key to securing the long-term benefits.

A local irrigation professional can help you check your drip irrigation system to make sure it's in good shape. You'll want to make sure the water pressure is in a good range, repair any leaks as soon as possible, and cover the cost to winterize your sprinkler system as recommended by your irrigation contractor.

A drip irrigation system lasts between 10 and 15 years. This lifespan is determined by the quality of materials, the precision of installation, and regular professional maintenance. Unlike traditional sprinkler systems that can last up to 50 years, the thinner piping used in drip systems is more sensitive to UV exposure and environmental wear. Proper upkeep and timely repairs enhance durability and ensure consistent irrigation performance.

Drip irrigation is best suited for plant beds, containers, greenhouses, and row crops. It supplies water directly to individual plants, ensuring precise moisture control where it is needed most. For areas with simple layouts, above-ground systems work efficiently, while subsurface installations may be cost-prohibitive in spaces with extensive tree roots or irregular terrain. Proper planning maximizes the benefits of drip irrigation across a variety of applications.
