"Ray and his son could not have been better. My husband was the one who was there while the work was done and he came home with a glowing report. He was impressed with the quality of the water heaters Ray provided and with Ray's knowledge and skill. He also said Ray was just a likable guy and enjoyable to talk to. My husband usually installs faucets himself, but since Ray was scheduled to be there, we asked him to do it. We were so glad we did. The previous homeowner had done some pretty creative configuration under the sink in his do-it-yourself faucet installation and even Ray had his work cut out for him getting things properly aligned and getting the new one in. My husband thought that might have taken more of Ray's time than installing the two new water heaters did! Ray also was able to instantly diagnose and repair the master bathtub drain that had been leaking into the crawlspace. After all was said and done, Ray charged us exactly what he promised for the water heaters (which was a bit less than Sears would have been) and only $90 extra for installing the faucet and fixing the tub drain, even though the faucet was a time consuming pain. We would absolutely have Ray back and asked for a stack of business cards to give our friends and neighbors. "

"They were late the first morning which was not a big deal at all.  Didn't have the proper circular bit as we have painted steel doors which we did not know but tried to cut the hole for the lock installation with what he had on hand.  Didn't work so needed to get better bits.  Again, not a big deal at all and understandable except he left a mess of dust and shavings all over the floor inside the door and on the table next to the door; rug tossed off to the side where he was working etc.   Was going to come back later that day but then next day, then next evening but told him the following morning was fine.  That wasn't a problem as we were in no hurry. Came next morning and had new bits but burned through several and complained about the cost and trouble of doing that.  I am no expert but I believe there are circular drill blades made for cutting metal/steel.  Regardless, not our responsibility.  If the job was too difficult he could have just said so and not have to get angry over cost of bits and time and difficulty.   When he completed the job and left again he left  lots metal shavings and dust everywhere, on floor, on counter top in kitchen, all over coffee maker.  It was a mess.  Glad we got the job done, seemed responsive and we know he was busy with other jobs etc.  Workmanship was so, so on the back door but it was not an easy install because of a window in that door and limited placement area for the lock, so again, we understand all of that.  More the mess that was left both times and the anger over the difficult job.  That is why we hire professionals and figure if they assess it to be too difficult or not possible then charge more or don't do it at all.   Would not use this company again for future jobs. <br />"

"We purchased a 5700 SF home in May 2014 and the interior needed to be painted TOP to BOTTOM.  I got several estimates and A-Team was slightly less, but still a competitive price, so I decided to go with Josh and Travis.  I have no regrets?they came in everyday (even on Sunday) they said they would  and worked very hard until the job was done and they called if they were running late. I appreciated the fact that they constructed plastic barriers when needed to control fumes and keep sanding dust confined and if I needed to make a change they were very accommodating.  My husband was floating out the garage walls and ceiling and A-Team gave him helpful advice and even loaned him their scaffolding. <br /> <br /> They painted: <br /> <br /> Painted 100% of the ceilings <br /> Painted 75% of the walls  <br /> Painted 40% of the trim, crown molding, and doors  <br /> Prime, sanded, and painted cabinets in 3 bathrooms and the wet bar <br /> Painted four car garage ceiling and walls <br /> <br /> We could not be more pleased with the work that A-Team did; it's been a year now since the work has been completed and everything still looks as good as it did a year ago!"

FAQs for handyman service projects in Peck, ID

Winterizing shields your home’s structure and key systems from snow, ice, and freezing temperatures. By sealing drafts and tuning up heaters, you cut energy waste, extend the life of appliances and windows, and avoid surprise repair bills. A small up-front investment keeps rooms cozy and protects the value of your biggest asset all winter long.

Yes, it’s important to prepare your sprinkler system for the winter. Blowing out the lines and insulating above-ground parts keeps valves and pipes from splitting when temperatures drop. A quick winterization visit costs far less than repairing burst components in spring, and it ensures your lawn--and your wallet--stay in good shape once the thaw hits.

A full home winterization plan goes beyond sealing windows and pipes. You might schedule a home energy audit, cover outdoor furniture, service the snowblower, swap smoke-detector batteries, add outlet gaskets, and hang storm doors. Each step beefs up your home’s protection, cuts drafts, and lowers the chance of costly cold-weather damage.
