"Excellent, no problems. My car was new the first year I used the service and there has never been any damage during the transports. The men picking up and delivering the car have always been pleasant and cooperative. Both Ely and Guy at United Transport has been highly responsive to my needs. 26 years of experience

Locally owned and operated since 1999. We are part of a national network of General Contractors, started in 1966 doing insurance restoration - serving property owners by restoring their property to pre-loss condition or better. We strive for minimal disruption and work with owner's insurance company to get payments processed and alleviate some of the headache. We have restored, remodeled, retrofitted numerous commercial and residential properties. Our customers are the best and we love helping them renovate/restore their living space and give them peace of mind that it is done right.

"HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE- it's been 2 and a half years and our home is still not finished!!!!!! Poor communication, poor follow-through, poor organization--the owner of this Paul Davis branch caused so much undue stress and out-of-pocket money charges. He looses documents, fails to meet deadlines (told insurance company, mortgage company, and us the job would be done in a year and we are still waiting for it to be done 2 and a half years later). High turn-over is the norm with this branch--we are on our 4th project manager. Things have gone missing in the home, can't provide numbers and spreadsheets documenting costs (only when persistently asked for and having corporate involved does he get one to us), says one thing but then does another. For example, 8 months and running, and they still have not completed painting our house. Many times we agreed on projects and contractors only to turn around and have Paul Davis do something else which always resulted in things going wrong and having to be redone (and costing us out-of-pocket money--for example stairs had to be redone twice because of poor quality and poor oversight for getting someone other than who we agreed on). Custom molding was redone twice after the first time it was done wrong. And many other mistakes which are too exhaustive to list. We had to get corporate involved numerous times and are still waiting for them to help us resolve matters. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!! It pains us to have to write such a bad review--but we do not wish anyone else to have to experience what we did (and are still going through)."

Locally owned and operated. Additional contact name - Melissa Disharoon. Social media: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/mtdservices

"We contracted with MTD Services via Todd in August 2022 for a large porch addition with a concrete slab, faux fireplace and outside fire pit. We paid a $10000 deposit once an agreement was reached. Todd kept pushing the start date back for various personal and other reasons. Finally locked down a January 2013 start, but three days after that date, Todd contacted us and said that he had underbid the project and would need an additional 15-18k to proceed. We decided to part ways. He said he'd have our deposit returned in two weeks. Week three (and still no money) we contacted Todd and were informed that he would need to make payments to us as he got draws. This was unacceptable and after informing him of the avenues I would use to get my deposit returned, we were paid by the end of the week. I wish we had done more research on customer reviews for MTD Services beforehand. We could have saved ourselves a lot of headaches, time and money."

FAQs for traditional stucco repair or partially replace projects in Pelion, SC

Minor stucco fixes—like sealing small cracks or adding fresh caulk—often wrap up in an hour or two. Larger jobs that call for cutting out damaged sections, installing new lath, and layering fresh stucco can stretch to three or four days because each coat needs time to cure. A pro removes loose material, cleans and dampens the area, applies a bonding agent, and builds up new layers, matching texture and restoring the wall’s weather shield.

Watch for a stucco surface that stays damp days after a storm, develops dark stains, or feels soft or spongy under light pressure. Inside, moisture rings, peeling paint, or soft drywall around windows point to the same issue. Any of these red flags mean water is trapped behind the siding, and it’s time to call a stucco pro before rot or mold sets in.

Give your stucco a once-over every spring and fall. Semiannual checks let you catch hairline cracks, stains, or damp spots before they snowball into pricey repairs. Keep a flashlight handy, look closely around windows and doors, and call a pro if you notice anything soft or discolored. Staying ahead of minor issues protects both your curb appeal and your home’s weather barrier.

A pro starts by scraping away loose material, then cleans and lightly wets the area so new stucco will stick. After brushing on a bonding agent, they build fresh layers, letting each coat cure before adding the next. The final step is matching the texture and color so the patch blends in and the wall regains full weather protection.

Think of repair as a patch: the pro fixes only the visible crack or hole. Remediation goes deeper—crews strip away the compromised stucco, correct the root problem (often water or mold), then rebuild the wall. If tests show structural rot or trapped moisture, remediation is the safer, longer-lasting route; otherwise, a straightforward repair often does the trick.
