The first part of the project - the front roof repair and asphalt shingles replacement - was done in December of 2021, with plans to finish the rest of the house by the end of March 2022. Today Frankie and his team completed the rest of the roof of the house, replaced the roof with matching shingles on the garage and the shed, and fixed rotted encasing of the chimney with new plywood, making sure it matched the original pattern. I was sold on Universal being a certified CertainTeed product installer. It is a superior product than what is sold in general big box stores such as Home Depot. Day of 2 layers of old shingles removal, inspector Abe showed me the sins of others. The base wood was circa 1938, and needed to go. Not unexpected however they worked with me to arrange a loan to support the extra work estimate. As well my chimney was sadly in need of professional pointing beyond the shoddy patch jobs done by prior owners. I was assigned a project manager Ben, that kept all the work moving at pace as outlined. The workers were all responsible and respectful of me and my plants and property.
