"<strong>Excellent job! </strong>Matt, the boss/designer, is a <strong>true pro </strong>-- he took my initial plan and turned it into an attractive and functional addition to our home.  One of my motivations in choosing him from among three other bidders was the <strong>professionalism of his design;</strong> yes, it was created on computer, but it was completely labeled, with elevations plus a 3-D rendition and a materials list.  None of his competitors went to that trouble.  <br /> His crew ({"Vic" and assistant) were <strong>amazing craftsmen</strong>.  To accommodate a tree trunk, they shaped the top railing of the deck without damaging either the tree or the overall aesthetic of the design--it seems to flow!  <br /> The major part of the project was completed in less than a week.  Powder-coating the window-well grates took another week.  <br /> The crew was <strong>meticulous</strong> in maintaining a clean work site; every day, they cleared away tools and debris (they parked a dumpster in front of the house).  Despite the daily rain showers, they managed to put in 7-8 hour days, making quick work of my project.  They were pleasant, cheerful, and courteous. <br /> The only possible criticism I could muster is that on Labor Day, two crew guys showed up to finish the below-deck screening.  It was a surprise, given the holiday, but since we were anxious to have the job finished, I let them go ahead.  When I mentioned it to Matt, he apologized profusely and said he would remind his crew about calling first. <br /> Because the existing concrete stoop leading from the kitchen door was badly deteriorated, I decided to eliminate that access from the deck; unfortunately, the concrete (dating from 1957) could not be entirely removed (see my review for Flat & Fancy Concrete).  Matt and I devised a method of screening off the underside  of the deck area; not only did this hide and unattractive mound of concrete, it provided a useful new storage area for garden tools, supplies, etc. <br /> The deck is composite material, and the guys who assembled the deck and put on the finishing touches did a splendid job.  The guy who did the final painting of framework made a special trip to Home Depot to get a customized color match! <br /> After the recoated grills were put in place, there was a slight discrepancy in level--the grates were not flush against the floor of the deck.  One call to Matt and the problem was resolved by day's end. <br /> <strong>BOTTOM LINE</strong>:  if you need a deck, call Matt at New Creations!  I'm only sorry I don't have need of another deck.  Perhaps a gazebo? <br /> <br />"

"In two days, they removed a 60 ft long double car driveway and a 60 long single car driveway, and poured new concrete on the 2nd day. Both look great, and the crew were hardworking and polite when spoken too. Highly recommend Elite concrete."

"<ul> <li>Called us back within a few hours to make an appointment for an estimate.  Showed up exactly on time and spent   a lot of time discussing options, clarifying what we wanted and answering all questions.  The next day we had the estimate in writing and set a date for the pour.  Spent the first day in the afternoon tearing out all the old stuff and gravel, and laying forms.  The next day, showed up and did the pour and sealed the concrete.  This family is the best and I would highly recommend them to anyone.  So professional, friendly and efficient.  They cleaned up everything after themselves and double checked all the work.  They not only trimmed my tree for me they took my trash out because they were here on trash day.  That is above and way beyond what they</li> <li>needed to do.  The day of the pour we had a severe hail and rain storm.  As soon as it slacked off a little, the owner was at our house making sure everything was okay.  A week later, they came and checked it again.  Amazing service!  With an older home it is nice to know there are still excellent companies like this still around.</li> </ul> <br />"

"My experience was OK. In general it was fine. I spent somewhere between $800 and $1000. My first experience with them was for mud jacking and they did some work 8 to 10 years ago then when we waned the driveway done we went with them again. I would tell others to be cautious with them because even though they work very well but they're not good with backing up their work. The driveway was good but when we contacted them about some areas cracking within the year we got a ll sorts of excuses."

FAQs for concrete driveways & floors installation projects in Penrose, CO

Polished concrete floors offer many benefits with very few drawbacks. While issues like discoloration, stains, or imprints may occur during pouring, these are rare when working with a skilled flooring contractor. Once polished, concrete floors are easy to maintain, long-lasting, and eco-friendly. They also resist mold and moisture, making them ideal for allergy-prone households, and offer versatile design options for both indoor and outdoor use.

Polished concrete flooring is often more affordable than tile. It involves lower material costs and less labor-intensive installation. Tile installations require additional leveling and preparation, which increases labor costs. Opting for concrete flooring helps reduce upfront expenses and provides a durable, stylish finish that saves money over time with minimal maintenance.

While epoxy flooring offers enhanced durability and toughness compared to polished concrete, it comes with higher material and labor costs. If budget is a top priority, polished concrete floors provide a resilient and attractive finish without the premium price tag, making them an ideal choice for value and long-term performance.

Polished concrete floors last 20 years or more when installed by licensed professionals and maintained with proper care. Their enduring finish withstands heavy use and remains visually impressive for decades. Regular deep cleaning and maintenance help safeguard the floor’s integrity, providing homeowners with a long-lasting, cost‐effective solution that endures daily wear without compromising style.

Polished concrete floors increase home value by offering a modern, sleek appearance and exceptional durability. A professionally installed floor not only enhances visual appeal but also minimizes maintenance expenses, making the property more attractive to prospective buyers. This flooring upgrade delivers a refined look while boosting overall market competitiveness and long-term property value.
