"At the time we looked, Jurassic Stone had by far the most extensive and interesting supply of granite on the island of Maui. Their slabs are beautiful and high quality, and they offer a wide variety of finishes and edges. They are not cheap, but I am pretty sure in the world of granite countertops that you get what you pay for. The entire job from measuring to completion took about the time they said it would take. Mike arrived on time with a large crew to do the installation, and that part of the job was completed in one day. The fabrication was beautifully done with a minimum of seams, and the installation went perfectly. Mike is a pleasure to deal with and very comfortable to be around; the entire crew was professional and clearly very skilled at what they do. <br /> I have since seen other jobs in my neighborhood that were done by Jurassic Stone. They were all beautifully done and I haven't heard of any dissatisfied customers. <br /> We'll be replacing our bathroom countertops in the future, and I can't imagine using anyone else. <br />"

"My wife and I wanted new hard woods in our house but had very specific requirements that we could not typically find locally.  My wife wanted a dark floor while I wanted extreme durability in a natural hard wood.  We did our homework and decided that Brazilian Walnut (Ipe) most closely matched what we wanted.  <br /> After looking locally for something that fit the bill, the flooring we found was either over $12 sq/ft (too expensive) or not dark enough.  I started searching on-line and ran across Brazilian Direct.  Their prices seemed reasonable (a bit over $6 sq/ft for what we wanted) and they even had a tinted (dark) version of the floor we liked. <br /> After several weeks of questions and further research, we decided to place an order.  We we worked with a representative named Sannon who helped us every step of the way.  She sent us samples, instructions, guides - everything to make us more comfortable about our eventual order.  Our order came right on schedule and the wood was really beautiful.  After several weeks of the required acclimation we had a local installer put the floor down.  They did an excellent job and we really love our floor.  There was very little waste and in fact we had at least 3 boxes left over. <br /> I highly recommend Brazilian Direct.  We are considering using them again for a deck project we'd like to do in the future. <br />"

"I have used several Granite Gold products and like their effectiveness because they do what they are supposed to do. No strong fumes or irritating skin problems. The granite counter top daily cleaner and polish are so easy to use (spay it on and wipe with a paper towel) to keep all your stone products clean and shiny. I was surprised to see how effective the grout cleaner is. I sprayed it on some dirty tire floors in the bathroom and let it sit for a couple of minutes. Then I went over it with the scrub brush they provide. It looked clean then, but when it dried, it was much brighter. This is a 40 Year old bathroom tile floor pictured. "Precision Pro Builders is amazing! They were so helpful in our decision process, from suggesting places to choose our flooring to asking us before making any decision on something they thought we may want to provide input or make the final decision. <br /> We just bought our house at the end of October and originally started to tackle the floor on our own, but realized right away we wouldn't have the time to finish the project before we moved in at the beginning of December. We called a few different contractors, and Precision Pro Builders were able to easily answer all of our questions and were very knowledgeable. They were timely and communicated quickly via phone, text, and email.  <br /> Chris and Skip were able to fit us into their schedule and finish all of our flooring before we moved in! They even made suggestions on where to look for our flooring, we ended up going with a Pergo for our living area and bedrooms, and a nice ceramic tile for the kitchen. Based on our experience, we quickly let them know that we would like to hire them for our other big project - a complete kitchen makeover.  <br /> We designed our kitchen at Home Depot and ordered Martha Stewart cabinets. In the meantime, Chris and Skip and their crew were able to prep for the kitchen install, including demoing a partial wall that separated our kitchen and dining areas. They rerouted all the plumbing and electrical that ran through the wall, and moved the switches to a convenient location. It really opened up our living space, and they thought ahead of all of the changes so we could order our granite countertops and have them ready when the cabinets came in. They also closed up the ceiling where we had them install a water line for our fridge. They retextured the wall and ceiling and blended everything very well so it looked seamless. <br /> Once the cabinets came in, Chris and Skip worked us into their busy schedule. I appreciated that when they came to work, they never seemed rushed, and would explain everything they were going to work on that day and their estimated time of completion. Since we were now living in our house, they took care to protect the floors and our furniture, and clean up throughout the project.  <br /> Precision Pro Builders installed our floor-to-ceiling white cabinets, complete with decorative molding and cabinet handles. They made sure every soft closing door and drawer worked perfectly. Next, they had our gray and white granite slab countertops installed, complete with a cutout area for our sink. Next, the sink, faucet, garbage disposal, and garbage disposal button was installed - Chris suggested a button next to the sink for the disposal vs a switch on the wall, it looks very sleek. They also caught little things we didn't think of, such as moving more switches to fit the cabinets, and making sure the existing exhaust hole lined up perfectly with the new overhead convection oven.  <br /> Chris and Skip made sure to come back and inspect all of the work, and to make sure we were happy with the final results. Chris is really into the details, he made sure everything looked great.  <br /> The most helpful thing besides fast and excellent communication was that Precision Pro Builders gave us tips and suggestions throughout the entire process. We appreciated that a lot since there were a lot of little details that went into the projects. <br /> I would absolutely use again, and recommend, Precision Pro Builders to anyone looking for a great contractor company on Maui. "We were moving out of our condo and needed to have the carpets thoroughly cleaned to ensure that we would get our security deposit back. I went on Angie's List to find a reputable carpet cleaner and found Dan Brown's Condo Care. I contacted the company over the phone and the representative I spoke to seemed very professional and courteous. She arranged for a carpet cleaner to come by and give us a free estimate. She said that their charges are based on square footage. The gentleman was on time when he came to measure our unit. He quoted us $235 plus tax to clean the carpets in the living room, dining room, 3 bedrooms, hallways and closets, all completely unfurnished. <br /> <br /> To compare pricing, I received another estimate from a different carpet cleaner that I found through word-of-mouth and that cleaner came in just a few dollars higher. I was pleased with the ratings that Dan Brown's Condo Care received on Angie's List so I decided to go with Dan Brown's Condo Care. In the end, the property manager that did our walk through said that "the condo was very clean and the rugs looked great". We didn't get a chance to inspect the unit but we received our security deposit back. "The product was as promised and the delivery was prompt. It's a durable product but it is a product that is new to the market so they didn't have as much experience with it. It wasn't an easy installation for them."

"My husband and I chose a 18 inch travertine tile after obtaining several samples from the store.  We chose a chocolate tuscany stone which had very little filler in the example.  We ordered about 1600 square feet of travertine as we were told that all should be ordered together to assure that we receive travertine from the same area of the quarry.  We were told we would have to pay for the shipping and for delivery to the door.  The shipping and delivery costs were approximated for us well under what was the actual price.    Shipping costs were about $1500.  Delivery cost to our home was $400 and was delivered to our driveway in large crates as they were not able to move into my garage with the forklift.   My husband had to move every piece of travertine tile into the garage.  We were able to check through some of the tiles but not each of them to tell the quality when we received them as there were hundreds and they were stuck face to face.   The installation took place while we were out of town as the demolition of the old travertine was quite extensive.  When we returned we found that the installers had about 85% of the travertine installed and we were told that about 50% of the tiles were of lesser quality, meaning that they were with many holes and filler.  The installers stated that many of the tiles broke when attempting to cut them.  I brought four examples of the travertine to the store which included both good quality and poorer quality travertine and explained that I was unhappy with the large amount of filler and that some tiles were very dark and some very light.  I explained that I did not know why we were told that we needed to buy entire quantity at the same time when what we received was clearly very different from each other with large color and pattern variations.  I was at first greeted by a young salesperson with "well it is a natural stone...".  The manager however appeared more helpful, taking pictures of the examples that I brought and stating that he would send them to the company the travertine originated and ask for additional tiles.  I was told that they couldn't do too much because most of the travertine had already been installed.  It took several calls to the store by my husband who was told that the manager was busy and when explained the situation to the girl on the phone, my husband was told well with this kind of stone that we would have to buy twice the amount that was needed to ensure we would get enough good quality travertine.  The manager did call back and was very pleasant, explaining that he was able to speak with the original company and could get us about 50 tiles with the next shipment.  The manager at one point even mentioned to my husband that the according to the contact where the travertine was manufactured, we received the wrong tiles.  However, we were only given the 50 tiles and about half of them were full of filler.  We have yet to have an installer replace the bad tiles with the new.  We did purchase a prefab granite piece and did not have any problems and the price was reasonable.  I would recommend if anyone does buy real stone that they are carefully examined prior to installation. <br />"
