"Ben was prompt in assessing our brick patio repair project and providing quote. He was good in communicating when he'd be here. He and his 2 sons worked efficiently and got the job done in 1 day. They could have done a better job at cleaning up after they were done."

Small jobs welcome

"Seth and his team did a great job on several projects around my house, he provided excellent ideas and guidance and then built a new brick walkway with a granite step, they levelled and re-laid pavers on my back patio and added stone drip edges around the perimeter of my house. They were very reliable, on time and cleaned up everything when they left. All looks very professional and makes the house look great. They also removed a large tree stump and cleaned up that when done. I highly recommend Seth and Smitty Landscaping."

Small jobs welcome

"Phenomenal job.. I had McAdams install French drains around my house after experiencing flooding in my basement for the first time in 16 years. After the install they expertly landscaped the part of the yard where they excavated and it looks great. I had obtain multiple quotes from other companies who came in very high and offered only one solution. Rowan took the time to listen to me and offer up various solutions. I felt comfortable and trusting of Rowan. _single mother here) Both he and his dad are great guys, very easy ti work with and most of all honest. I definitely will go to them for any future work needed as you should too.miche"

"The reason why we did not give 5 stars for this project: 1. The project materials deposited on our neighbors backyard. It took a long time to get someone from the company to come to move it to our lot. Still, he left some of it and we had to move it ourselves. 2. Despite our requests to start the noisy work at 8AM the work always started at 7:30AM. 3. The brick part of the porch was supposed to be pointed the project manager asked us to agree to remove the low brick wall and wanted to charge us $8K for it while pointing is more work intensive than removing the bricks. At the end he lowered the price but did not do the pointing on the remainder of the bricks that left in the supporting columns. We had to hire someone to do it and it cost us extra $950. 4. When the trash container removed from our backyard, we left with a lot of debris and again we needed to clean it ourselves."

The quality of the work is excellent, and the new roof looks great. They kept the work area clean and communicated well throughout the process. FAQs for brick and stone patios, walks, and steps installation projects in Peterborough, NH

When cleaning your flagstone patio, begin by gently hosing off loose dirt and debris. Use a mild solution of white vinegar and water or diluted dish soap to scrub the surface with a soft-bristled brush. Avoid using abrasive tools, such as wire brushes, as they can damage the stone’s seal and finish. This careful approach effectively removes mold and grime while preserving the natural beauty of your patio.

Flagstone naturally offers a neutral palette that includes shades of grey, black, red, yellow, brown, and tan, and its inherent color cannot be altered. Choosing varieties like bluestone provides a subtle bluish tint that complements many exterior designs. These natural hues enhance curb appeal and create a refined, timeless look in your outdoor space, ensuring a sophisticated finish with minimal upkeep.

Flagstone for a patio must have a minimum thickness of 1.5 inches to reliably support furniture and foot traffic. Using stone that is two to three inches thick is recommended to ensure lasting durability. The increased thickness prevents cracking under load and enhances long-term performance. Investing in thicker flagstone provides superior stability and resistance to weather conditions, ensuring your outdoor space remains both safe and attractive.

You can paint a flagstone patio by using a high-quality, outdoor elastomeric latex paint designed for heavy foot traffic. Painting not only refreshes the patio’s appearance but also creates a waterproof barrier that protects the stone from damage. Regular reapplication every one to two years maintains its durability and visual appeal, ensuring your patio remains both stylish and well-protected.
