"Iâ ve had a lot of bad experiences over the years with pavers. Some will promise you a two inch asphalt driveway and you find out years later, when holes appear, that it wasnâ t even an inch thick. My worst experience is with those selling you a sealer job. Yes, it looks nice and thick when sprayed on, but you find out after a few rains it has all washed away. My driveway is a quarter of a mile long and was in really bad shape. Knowing it needed repaving, I approached Home Advisor and asked for asphalt contractors with high ratings. Thatâ s where I found Pavement Solutions. Before calling Brandon I read all the detailed reviews he had. What stuck out most were words like â honesty, trustworthy, and does what he says.â After looking my driveway over, he gave me several options. I picked the two inch repaving and oil seal. He was a couple of thousand under an estimate I got from another company months before, so I accepted. After a day of prepping the surface, Brandonâ s team repaved my driveway over the next two days while I observed. It was excellent workmanship and exactly what he promised to do. "I think Jerome and Ollie are great people. They are aware I was (and am) disappointed in the finished look of the driveway. My reason is because they put a much thinner layer of chip stone on the back part of the driveway vs the front. There are still spots so thin (lacking chip) that the tar is clearly visible. Plus, there is a noticeable drop-off at the front to back transition point on the circle which looks bad (less than professional) in my opinion. When I pointed out my concerns and asked them to remedy the matter, they declined to do so, However, on a positive note, the driveway, as is, seems to be holding up well since it was installed 2 years ago. It is serving its purpose, and we like it better than the former road base driveway. It just did not (and does not) look like a quality finished product. I believe ATX will do a good job for any client per the agreed contract. My recommendation to anyone planning to put in a chip-seal drive is to clearly specify everything, such as, desired driveway thickness, or the number of layers to be done, etc.. Also, be aware that grass & weeds will still grow through such a driveway, which is nature, and not the fault of the contractor. Be prepared to invest in lots of roundup and a good pump sprayer."

"The cold weather caused the company many delays, but some delays were caused by equipment breakdowns and poor management of time by the company. the job took two months to complete.  The company took the time to coordinate by phone then often would not do what they said and did not communicate that to me.  They did the job in so many phases that the joints between sections are rough.  Preparation of the substrate could have been better as I have many plants growing up through the asphalt on the margins.  Overall the road is acceptable and for a reasonable price and much better than the previous dusty road I replaced.  I think the company is honest and does well as a small family owned business.  The cold weather is problematic for asphalt as the plants close down often and that is out of control of the small contractor. <br />"
