"We talked to three companies including Resolution Pest to address our issue with carpenter bees. Resolution Pest was the only company willing to come to our property and take a look and provide an estimate. One company wanted almost double the amount of the service we received without even coming out. John was professional and courteous and did fast and excellent work. I would highly recommend Resolution Pest for your pest control needs and should the need arise, we will be calling them again!"

"We've been using them for several years. He is very polite. He made arrangements ahead of time as to the day and timeframe. It was good. We've been married for 13 years and my husband was using them before we got married. He is very pleased with them. We haven't had any problems with pests."

"Mark is great!!! He was here in about an hour and 1/2 (the time it took him to drive from his location to mine) to remove the bat in our church. Mark was courteous and professional. He even took time to answer our questions about the bat! I would definitely recommend BuxMont-Wildlife & Animal Removal to anyone who has 'critter' issues!"

"<p>With freezing temperatures finally upon us and a neighborhood with a squirrel population explosion afoot, we found ourselves with a pesky, persistent squirrel h***-bent on chewing its way into our attic via the roofline just under our gutters.  It was a corner of the house too tight for us to fully reach and effectively secure from inside the house, and too high and dangerous for us to reach from a ladder outside.  It was clearly a job to be done ONCE and RIGHT, A JOB FOR PROFESSIONALS.  Bewildered by the chewing and persistence, I left a message for Mr. Merritt on Wednesday, January 12.  He called me back within a few hours.  He was a delight to speak with.  He sent technicians Ray and CJ out early (8:30AM) the next morning, January 13th.  They had all the right equipment and expertise.  The hole was confirmed vacant.  They stuffed it with steel wool and shored up the hole with aluminum sheeting and screwed it on tight.  For the first time in about 5 days I could relax and not worry about listening for that awful chewing sound, neither running out of my house nor sticking my head out our attic window to shoo-away that darned squirrel.  These men did a great job.  The condition of our fascia board was in very good shape (not rotted or in bad shape to start with), so it was just unfortunate that the squirrel chose THIS SPOT to work so hard to get in.  We could not have done the job ourselves, safely or as efficiently as these gentlemen did.  They knew what materials to use, and they had it all ready to install.  They were able to a**** the situation and provide a remedy that would work well for us.  The job was done in about 45 minutes.  The charge was perfectly reasonable and I would certainly call them again if I had another problem.  I would also recommend them to everyone.</p> <br />"

"Anthony provided great service! Tried to get the bird stuck in our exhaust fan by hand and when that didn't work inserted a contraption to catch the bird humanely. Also came back the next day to check and then put a cage over the exhaust output so no more birds could get stuck. Would definitely use them again for any critter issues."

"I called in the morning; they came out this afternoon and did the job. Since the squirrels were out for the day (or so it seemed), they decided that the best solution would be to gas them out (in case hiding) and then seal up the entry point. Trapping they said was another solution, but would be more time consuming & expensive and they would still ultimately seal up all entry points. (Also, there are lots of squirrels in this neighborhood, in part because an annoying neighbor leaves peanuts for them). From what I've read on the web, I'm afraid they may find new ways in. But the guys surveyed the entire roof and seemed pretty confident that the entry point they were sealing would do the trick. Sealing up the entry point was not a simple job, but it *looks* like they did a good job. I did not rate quality because they just did the job today and so I'll have to wait and see if the critters stay out. BUT, key is that the job comes with a 5 year warranty-- so I'm to call if they somehow manage to get back in. The two guys were incredibly nice and informative and did investigating of some of the other problems we're having (flooding in the basement, which is ultimately caused by a dislodged downspout, which the squirrels are most likely responsible for). MOST IMPORTANT LESSON FROM MY EXPERIENCE: TELL 'EM YOU FOUND OUT ABOUT THEM ON ANGIE'S LIST!!! Since I had checked other jobs on Angie's list, I had an idea of how much I might have to pay. When he first gave me a price quote it was higher than that. I sort of hemmed and hawed and said that that was more than I expected to pay. Then I mentioned Angie's list and he immediately dropped the price a significant amount. Makes the Angie's list membership well worth the price."

FAQs for bird and bat pest control service projects in Philadelphia, PA

You're likely to find nesting birds in external areas such as your gutters, eaves, porches, and chimneys. Some birds also nest in less obvious spots, like attics or even in your ventilation systems if they gain access. A reputable pro will conduct an inspection before starting any work to check for evidence of where birds may have set up roosting or nesting sites in your home.

Leaving birds to roost and nest on your home creates significant risks that affect both your home's structure and your well-being. The constant droppings, aggressive swooping, and persistent noise can damage siding, allow moisture intrusion, and stain exterior finishes. In addition, the birds’ pecking and droppings can spread diseases and parasites, which can lead to escalating repair costs and health hazards.

Yes, humane removal is possible and ensures that birds remain unharmed during the extraction process. Experts use proven methods to safely capture and relocate both birds and their nests to secure environments. Professionals employ stainless steel spikes as a deterrent while avoiding harmful techniques such as poisons or glue traps. You can rely on trusted specialists who strictly use safe, noninjurious methods, thereby protecting the birds while resolving the nuisance.

Yes, there are legal considerations when removing birds and their nests. You must adhere to strict local and state regulations, which safeguard protected native species during nesting season. Special authorization is required to remove protected birds, their nests, or eggs under the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Migratory Bird Treaty Act. Observing these legal mandates avoids violations and ensures safe, responsible removal.

To prevent birds from returning after nest removal, you can implement deterrent methods. Installing stainless steel spikes creates a secure barrier that prevents birds from roosting without causing injury. In contrast, loose nets may entangle birds and other wildlife, creating additional hazards. A trusted professional will choose and install the optimal method to keep your home bird-free.

A bird’s nest remains viable for a period that depends on the species. The construction phase concludes within 2 days to 3 weeks, followed by a rearing stage lasting 2 to 10 weeks. Most birds become fully independent within 2 to 6 weeks, while certain predatory species require up to 2 1/2 months. This timeline can guide you on when it's safe to intervene.
