"<p>Benjamin Franklin's technicians performed outstanding service, installing an entire new and superior tankless hot water system, replacing our inferior and dangerously flawed tankless system that no longer performed. The lead technician was up front regarding the reasons for replacement, the cost of replacement, as well as less expensive alternatives. After we decided to replace with a new tankless system and because of the price point, the lead technician suggested time plan payment alternatives which was very helpful.</p> <p>The day of installation, the crew arrived on time as promised and suggested that the unit be placed on the outside of the house instead of underneath in the crawl space, allowing for easy access for maintenance and trouble shooting as well as for safety. An excellent suggestion since the old tankless system had been installed against a wall in the crawl space underneath our bedroom floor which the lead technician noted, would have been bad for us if the corroded pipes had started leaking gas! Anyway, the entire job was completed without a hitch and again right on time as promised.</p> <p>The new system has been working perfectly for six months now and we could not be more pleased! "Tuck&Howell technicians responded quickly to my call about a non-working home AC. The technician diagnosed a blown compressor and since our system was 20 years old recommended AC replacement. We researched and decided to replace both the AC and gas furnace to maximize efficiency. The system was diagnosed on Monday, parts ordered by Wednesday, and new system installed Friday morning - just ahead of a heat wave. (We are priority plus plan members at Tuck&Howell and that may have given us some priority - I recommend their priority plus plan service as well, which we've had for some 15 years or so.) The installation went smoothly and the new system is working great. Be sure to ask for a new thermostat, if needed, when you get a new system installed since it may or may not be included by default. We asked and it was provided. Our unit was a Carrier 3-ton, 14-seer unit with AC and gas furnace."

"Sent someone out the same day we called in the afternoon. Notified us 30 minutes ahead of arrival. Located, dug out and pumped tank. Attempted, unsuccessfully, to locate our 2nd tank at the barn, but recommended another plumber to come locate the tank with a camera. A couple days later tank was located. We then had Dr. Flush return to check that tank. They informed us it didn't really need to be pumped and charged a reasonable fee for service call, digging out and checking the tank. Two different sets of people came and both were knowledgeable and got the job done. Gave good advice and didn't charge us for services that weren't needed. Service was discounted because two tanks were involved. Would definitely hire again. The cost reported here does not include the price of the 2nd group coming out to locate barn septic tank with a camera."

The install consisted of gutting the bathroom, installing new tub/shower, new fixtures, new vanity, plumbing, marble 4x12 floors in a Chevron pattern, crown/base molding, and a frameless shower door. I had received several quotes on the bathroom and Mike was the best option (He also wasn't one of those painful sales presentations). He allowed us to purchase our own parts (if you have a wife you understand how important this is). Handy Co. definitely beat out all the other full bathroom remodel companies in the area especially since they are a locally owned small business. Highly Recommend and will use his skills again.
