Over two months passed and my husband started calling on a daily basis but the company wouldn't return our calls. Finally, someone answered and said it was on the schedule to be replaced. It was finally done. Although we have no complaints about the work, the lack of responsiveness and punctuality is a concern. <br />"

"On one hand, Artown was very good about securing a payment from the insurance company--the insurance company denied our hail damage claim initially, but Artown went to bat for us (we clearly had hail damage) and got us a new roof. They did a good job communicating with the insurance company for us. For that, I am grateful. <br /> From there, things went more sour. The installation of the roof went OK. We have an old house with some tight corners near dormers, and they didn't really catch the seams flush so there is a bit of warping on the shingles (minor issue). The work crew only had one person that spoke (choppy) English, which made communication difficult when a small issue arose during roofing, but everyone was professional and worked hard. <br /> When I contacted Artown about a few small gaps in the roof near tight spots, it took forever to get someone out to check it, and when he came, I was not impressed with his professionalism (though he was very friendly). He said the issues were due to construction of our old house, which is possible, but I was not totally sure it was true. Our home inspection from the previous year mentioned no such thing. I got the sense there were issues of communication in the company, which were strengthened by the questionable way the needed repairs were discussed. After promising to come by early the next day and do the repairs for cash (off the company books?), he never showed. <br /> I'm going to call the company today and report the strange behavior of the warranty/inspection person. Overall though, I feel I've had enough experience with Artown to recommend you go with someone else. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"I found the site over the web and contacted thecompany. From pictures sent via email, they helped me decide on size, and design elements and promptly sent me referrence since they reside outside my area. The item was made, shipped and damaged in transit and they took care of details of returning item to them, dealing wiht the insurance company, correcting the issue, keeping me up to date in the process and remaking the awning and getting it back to me. They supplied detailed instruction to my contractor for installation and were available via phone for consult during the process. I am very pleased."

"Removal of shingles and replacement went as planned. Owner was easy to talk to and seemed down to earth/fair. No problems. Was supposed to add additional venting to the roof as well, but failed to complete this portion. Tried calling once, but no response. Due to my own busy schedule and insignificance and cheapness of this part of the job, I didn't push the issue. Would still recommend him. <br />"

"Company was extremely nice to deal with and I  think that they did a good job of sealing the house and removing the bats from the attic. However, the cost of the clean up of the attic from the bats was astonomical.  They wanted over $5,000 for just that portion of the project and when added to the bat removal cost the total was over $7,000.  The house is a small 2 bedroom rental property that we own, therefore with a small attic space, so I felt like the cost far exceeded what it should have. <br />"

"I started out by getting quite alot of quotes for estimates. Seen WSR Rooofing on Angie's list and Better Business Bureau. Called and made a appointment. Was very happy with the service, and work appears done well. I don't know alot about how the finished work should look, although recieved some good remarks on it. They work with you, and the are trustable, would definately hire them for other work."
