"When temperatures dropped to -50 with wind chill, the pipes to our basement bathroom sink froze. And as soon as everything began to thaw, (on Friday night) we found that we had a ruptured hot water pipe. Water was shooting out of the wall all over the bathroom. When it became clear that our usual plumber wasn't going to show up on Saturday, I frantically called half-a-dozen plumbers from Angie's List. Only Charlie got back to me and agreed to show up after his next job. On a day that he was clearly being overwhelmed with calls from all over the city, Charlie kept his word and showed up with his partner Dimitri. They quickly figured out there were no other leaks and repaired the pipe. On top of it, Charlie spotted two other unrelated plumbing issues in our HVAC room. They were minor now but could have turned into bigger problems down the road. His thoroughness and attention to detail allowed him to spot these hidden problems and save us headaches down the road. We had our water working in under an hour (on a Saturday evening!) and he charged a very fair price given the demands upon his time. He left our house at 5pm, his phone blowing up from other customers. I asked if he was going to have an end to the day soon, but he said he still had hours to go...he had promised other worried homeowners that he would help them today. THAT's the kind of dedication I want from my plumber. Call Charlie with confidence."

"Mattco has been performing repairs and regular plumbing maintenance at my 116 year old Chicago 2-flat for many years. Over time with experience I have gained trust in Mattco Plumbing to get me out of big jams with the plumbing in this old building. Just recently Matt repaired the 2nd floor toilet drain line in the ceiling above my 1st floor bathroom in a very tight spot. The job was done with the highest degree of professionalism and the cost was reasonable. I was so pleased that I scheduled a second appointment on 11/23/2015 for power4 rodding and to install bathroom faucet.

The men were pleasant and very professional - in addition they took off their shoes at the door and cleaned up when done. Unfortunately on the job for the bathroom faucet the old pipe to sewer was corroded and they had to go out and get additional parts which they did and the price to correct my issue was reasonable.

This is the best plumbing service I have used in the last 20 years so going forward if I have plumbing work done it will ONLY be done by AAA Walsh and sons.

This was suggested in the past, by another company , but the cost was out of sight.
