"Everything was done in a timely manner and the work area was cleaned up and not left in a huge mess. The experience of this company shows and I would hire again if I needed a plumber for the future."

"It went well.  The plumber did a professional job.  The expansion tank is not yet required in Harris County, but he installed it anticipating that it soon would be required.  The plumber left the area clean.  It took 2.5 hours.  Billing was at a rate of $110 per hour. <br />"

"I would highly recommend Advantage Roofing. We worked with Ron for what we thought would be a repair but turned into a full replacement. was upfront with everything and explained why we needed to do a replacement. He worked us into the schedule pretty quickly. He also worked with our solar company to coordinate the work and guarantee we didn't have any extra costs. They helped us get the necessary documentation for our insurance company. I would absolutely call them again."

"Although I had a burst hot water heater leaking across my basement, they were unable to come out for the first assessment for two full days.  When the plumber did arrive, he was polite and professional, and did diagnose the need for a new water heater (as evidenced by the large amount of water throughout my basement).   He spoke to American Home Shield (AHS), who put up a fight, as my home warranty was in place for just a short-time (we had just recently bought the house).  AHS finally agreed to the covered replacement (water heater/installation/$250 of "code upgrades").  The bomb dropped when he quoted what my portion of the job cost would be after AHS paid their portion...$900...for the remainder of the needed "code upgrades".  After having recently replaced a similar unit in my last home, I knew this was high when factoring in AHS's portion, and approximately the cost of the replacement unit plus standard installation .  I suspect they were building in plenty of profit, as I suspect AHS does not pay normal market rates for the water heater replacement.  I asked them to try to be more competitive, but they were not willing to budge on their price.  <br /> Consequently, I called in another plumbing provider (not affiliated with AHS), and got a much more competitive cost (saving well over $300)  I settled with AHS for a payout, and did not use High-Priority for the replacement unit or plumbing services <br /> <br />"

"The reason why this review is dated is because I have just recently joined Angie's List and was surprised and satisfied to see Gallops' company included with an "A" rating. I specifically asked the employees to help me create a safe home for my wife and dad and they listened and demonstrated empathy. i will call them, today, 5 November 2015, reference my current situation. <br />"

"Exceptional service!  I called and got an appointment the very next day.  The technician, "RJ" is very well trained, professional, courtesy and thorough...very thorough!  He asked me some questions then immediately got to work testing the plumbing system for leaks- something you just can't do on your own.  It all checked out great so he suited up in a wetsuit and spent a good bit of time in the pool underwater surveying the liner and all the fittings for leaks...and he found it! Or should I say them?  But the best part, instead of just telling me I have a tear around the main drain and 15 or so pinholes and leave- he repairs them all!  Its been almost a week and my pool hasn't leaked! <br /> It may be a job to him but to me, it has been a relief.  I have been fighting this leak for months - tried everything I could do (and I'm pretty handy), even had 2 pool companies come out. <br /> It took about 2 1/2 hours but it was because he went over every inch of my pool then fixed all of the holes. <br /> You don't have to be there for them to work but I was just because it was facinating to watch him troubleshoot everything. <br /> They are fast, friendly, professional and honor the $25 Angie's List discount.  I hope I never have to use them again but if I do.... <br /> Well done!!!! <br />"

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Pine-mountain-valley, GA

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
