"I would like to say that the installers sent to my home were excellent. They were unbelievably punctual and very neat with their installation -- very pleased with that portion of the process. However...there was little to no communication with the coordinator at Mega-Granite in the Hartselle store. She wasn't forthcoming with anything I needed to do prior to the installation, such as uninstalling the sink and gas range. Maybe I should have known this, but I had never had this type of work done before. Actually, the man who installed my backsplash informed me that I needed to have this done. It cost me an extra trip from the plumber -- $200 that I wasn't expecting. Further, my nephew and his wife have recently purchased a new home, visiting the same store in hopes of purchasing countertops. My nephew said they refused to show them a certain product in countertops (Quartz, I think), telling them it was "out of their price range," not knowing what their price range was. He, also, said the person they dealt with talked down to another employee in front of them. They left the store and found what they were looking for elsewhere. Mega-Granite lost a big sale."

"My wife and I wanted new hard woods in our house but had very specific requirements that we could not typically find locally.  My wife wanted a dark floor while I wanted extreme durability in a natural hard wood.  We did our homework and decided that Brazilian Walnut (Ipe) most closely matched what we wanted.  <br /> After looking locally for something that fit the bill, the flooring we found was either over $12 sq/ft (too expensive) or not dark enough.  I started searching on-line and ran across Brazilian Direct.  Their prices seemed reasonable (a bit over $6 sq/ft for what we wanted) and they even had a tinted (dark) version of the floor we liked. <br /> After several weeks of questions and further research, we decided to place an order.  We we worked with a representative named Sannon who helped us every step of the way.  She sent us samples, instructions, guides - everything to make us more comfortable about our eventual order.  Our order came right on schedule and the wood was really beautiful.  After several weeks of the required acclimation we had a local installer put the floor down.  They did an excellent job and we really love our floor.  There was very little waste and in fact we had at least 3 boxes left over. <br /> I highly recommend Brazilian Direct.  We are considering using them again for a deck project we'd like to do in the future. <br />"

"Claire and Nico, the owners of Amazon Stone were fantastic to work with.  The helped us get through a nightmare that we had with a previous contractor who installed granite countertops in our new home and did such a horrible job that they had to be completely replaced.   <br /> Claire came out for the estimate and agreed that the work the previous contractor had done was awful.  She even wrote a letter for me to that effect that we were able to use to recover a portion of our money from the other contractor. <br /> <br /> Claire and Nico were very responsive.  Once I agreed to a quote, we went out to their showroom to look at options for replacing our countertops.  (This was not an option with the other contractor as he just brought a few samples to our home to choose from.).   <br /> They were very sensitive to our hesitation throughout this process and it was very clear that they wanted to move methodically through the process with us step by step to make sure that we were completely comfortable with every aspect of the process.   <br /> <br /> We selected an exotic granite, and were invited back out to the showroom after the template had been completed to place the template on the granite with tape to make sure that we got exactly the parts of the slab that we wanted for each of our counter pieces.   <br /> <br /> The granite was installed, we were ecstatic with it.  Several weeks later we have not found a single flaw in the work that they did... and we were for it too because we are super super picky.   <br /> The install was flawless.  It was done absolutely perfectly and exceeded our expectations.  They cleaned up their mess after the install and we received a call the very next day to ask if we were satisfied.   <br /> <br /> I am a thrilled and excited Amazon Stone customer.  I hope to do business with them again in the future."

"Two upstairs back-to-back bathrooms were totally remodeled including taking both back to the studs, moving a wall and all the plumbing, changing out the electric hot water heater for a tankless system and removing a ceiling in the room below the baths. These baths both originally contained tubs and the remodel enlarged the master bath and changed it to a walk-in shower and the other bath remained a tub bath. All fixtures were replaced with new and a pocket door was added to the common bathroom wall allowing both adjoining bedrooms access to both bathrooms. <br /> <br />Our selections included some more expensive fixtures which inflated the costs of the contract. The demolition, hot water heater replacement and the majority of the work went as planned. Unfortunately, the cabinets were delayed due to equipment problems but once they arrived, they were very well built. With the cabinet delay all the other trades who required the cabinets in place to continue were pushed out and we lost our place with a number of the subcontractors creating an overall delay. Ron did his best to get the subs to work us back into their schedules as soon as possible, but the completion was slightly later than we expected. <br /> <br />Ron is a detail oriented consummate professional. We were very surprised and pleased with all of the subcontractors he used - not only in the quality of work but the individuals who were in our home. All were considerate and very respectful. Those employees of Ron that worked in our home were very accommodating and courteous. Not one of the people who I met in our home gave me any concern for the safety of my possessions or left me doubtful about being in the home alone with them. (I have a considerable job history with various construction related businesses and this is very unusual that even the employees of the subs did not give us any concern.) <br /> <br />The completed work is wonderful and is how we imagined the finished project would be. We are extremely pleased. The budget seemed a little high at the onset but we had heard such wonderful things about Ron we wanted him to do the work. The little extra we contracted for paid for a very high quality product and the satisfaction of knowing the work was done correctly. <br /> <br />We will use Ron again if we ever need additional renovation work. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"I have used several Granite Gold products and like their effectiveness because they do what they are supposed to do. No strong fumes or irritating skin problems. The granite counter top daily cleaner and polish are so easy to use (spay it on and wipe with a paper towel) to keep all your stone products clean and shiny. I was surprised to see how effective the grout cleaner is. I sprayed it on some dirty tire floors in the bathroom and let it sit for a couple of minutes. Then I went over it with the scrub brush they provide. It looked clean then, but when it dried, it was much brighter. This is a 40 Year old bathroom tile floor pictured.
