"I manage an apartment complex of 50 units, I have used Edens for probably close to 10 years. They furnish and install all the carpet here and I buy the vinyl flooring from them that is installed by the maintenance person here. They are by far the very best company I have ever used for floor covering. Rusty Edens goes above and beyond providing the best customer service anyone could ask for. I highly recommend Edens for any floor covering needs. Good quality materials and labor, very dependable.
"

"As above, it went well. When we first contacted Mr. Dalton, I told him I wanted a beautiful green carpet that would survive a herd of buffalo's going in and out of our house. That is exactly what he sold us and it is still just as beautiful as when first installed. I'd love to be able to buy the exact same color and kind if this ever wears out and need replacing."

"
Initially contacted due to excellent reviews here on Angie's List and they weren't wrong. I set up an appointment with Ricky who arrived on time and provided an accurate estimate for the install. We set up an install appointment and his workers were punctual and arrived at the scheduled time and completed the job on time without any issues. Flooring was installed in a professional manner with quality in mind with hardly any issues with dust. They even vacuumed before leaving. The only problem was on my end by not ordering enough quarter round to finish the job. Once the shipment of quarter round came in, I called Ricky and was impressed when he said they would come back out and install it without charging me anything additional. I fully espected to be charged for another appointment but he worked me in. He even made a statement to the effect that customer satisfaction was his primary goal and he meant it! I would wholeheartedly recommend Brown's Hardwood to anyone who needed flooring services!

"

"On the rental property, we picked out the flooring and handed them a key. They took care of everything, cleaned up, and left in a timely fashion. It was turn key and I didn't have to do a thing. They were able to get the job done quickly and had it done just a few days after we picked out the flooring we wanted.
Replacing the carpet in our house was a three day job, due to the need to move a bunch of our stuff around. The installers arrived when they said they would every day. They were very courteous and helpful. They made every effort to do a good job. The owner checked with us periodically to make sure everything was going well with the installation and followed up with us after the installation to make sure we were happy with everything. The carpet we put in our house is simply outstanding and seems to be very high quality.
They have a good selection of flooring. We are very satisfied with the entire experience. I highly recommend K&M.
"

"I was preparing an older home for sale and needed new carpet in the downstairs and vinyl in the kitchen. I called Regina from out of town (Atlanta) and she was able to go to the home and take the measurements the day I called! That evening, I had her estimate. The following week I met with Regina and we put together the package and placed the order. I was on a short time frame for installation but she was able to make an adjustment to her crew schedule and fit me in. One of her guys (Kevin Chappell) could fit it in after hours over a couple of days.
Kevin showed up on time, did a flawless install and it looked great. Regina was particularly helpful and accommodating. I so appreciate her responsiveness and her recommendation on the kitchen vinyl was fantastic. It really does look like tile! Of particular note was her pricing as well. Beat most of the competition for an excellent product. Thanks Kevin for a great job and fitting me in after hours. I would highly recommend Steve's Flooring. Their previous reviews from AL led me to them and are well deserved.
"

"This is the third time in the last year that we have employed Chad Henry's Construction and we have been completely satisfied every time. The first part of this project was to rebuild the front porch using composite decking and synthetic railings and posts (we hate painting). We also had the front stairs reconfigured and rebuilt using composite material with a handrail added. He also realigned the front door and installed new hardware, along with installing a new storm door. As usual, the work was as estimated and completed on time. At this time we scheduled a bathroom rebuild. The total cost for the porch and all materials was $5557.00
We then had the bathroom redone, for the most part using materials we supplied. He removed the existing flooring and replaced it with tiles, taking off and saving the existing baseboards. He replaced the toilet with an upgraded model we supplied and the vanity and mirror that we supplied (using our materials was in the estimate). He supplied some of the attaching materials for replumbing the vanity sink and toilet. This project took a total of three days, one of which was a time allowance for the floor prep materials to dry in.
The total cost for the work on the bathroom area was $1550.00.
All in all, I am extremely pleased with the work that has been done for me (including a previous addition on the house). Mr. Henry will offer his opinion if he feels we might have better options for our projects, but will, in the end, always give us what we want. Usually, his ideas are more appropriate than our original thoughts. His workmanship and work ethic are exemplary and I would recommend his company to anyone.
"

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Piney Flats, TN

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
