"The service was excellent! They arrived to pick up the vehicle a day earlier which was great. They delivered the vehicle right to my daughter's door and found a side street to unload. The service was delivered within the time frame given. All of my questions were answered via phone or email and the paperwork was seamless and the price was very reasonable."

"We purchased a deal on Angie's List ($199 for $500 of Custom Glide-Out Shelving for Existing Cabinetry) for our kitchen.  The trouble was - when the money was deducted from our account, instead of it being $199, they took out $500.  I am not sure if this was on the provider's end or a mistake from Angie's List.  The whole thing made me feel very nervous, so I cancelled the transaction.  Angie's List was very good about refunding the money.  I was not sure which rating to give since we did not use them, yet it was not a positive transaction due to the financial issue.  So I gave them a "C" for lack of an "N/A" choice for rating. <br />"

"We were upgrading our countertops to granite. I searched Angie's List and saw Factory Plaza.  I'd already clipped newspaper ads on them, so was happy to have a listing here. The description of other jobs and rating convinced us to make the trek. They were quit a drive for us--all the way to Bensenville, but they were definitely worth it!!!  Huge selection of slabs in a wide range of prices--way under what we had seen in other places. You can actually pick the slab and mark it the same day (with a deposit). During the month we were looking, they had a special of $21/sq ft. of a white granite with grey flecks  This stone was actually there--not a bait & switch.  It would not work for our kitchen, but it was very popular because it was a good stone. You are given a price list when you go into the warehouse--they are upfront about everything. You can even take home as many free samples as you need to see the stone in your environment. Beata is very knowledgeable and offered suggestions and tips throughout the process. The slabs we selected were near the top of the price range--but was on special at half price. It was carmel (I forgot the name) with browns, just a bit of taupe and flecks of gold throughout--gorgeous.  We chose the straight edge, but there are other options available at extra cost per sq ft.All counters come with a stainless sink (we chose the 60/40 configuration). We removed the old counters ourselves. There is an extra charge of $100 for demo (which I think is very reasonable). They were able to give us a complete quote based on our measurements, but, of course, pending their professionals coming out and taking the exact measurements (there was only 1ft difference). They have a huge project board that shows what installations they have planned in the near future, so it was easy for them to plug us in, working around theirs and our schedule. The installers (2) were on time, friendly and very skilled.  We had three countertops to install and they were done in around 90 minutes (or less). They were careful during the installation to minimize the amount of dust and cleaned up after the installation. As they instructed, we had on hand our faucet, cooktop and accessories that required drill holes. They do not install cooktops or faucets, but we were told that in advance. In addition, the installers were very informative about how to care for the countertops.  I am all too happy to offer and outstanding rating for the company and have already referred a co-worker, who has purchased countertops from them."

"<strong><em>Initial report - 12/11/13<br /> </em></strong>The project was a couple of weeks behind the expected start date but the delay didn't cause any issues for me. For the workers, I imagine the difference between 40 degrees and 4 degrees outside with zero degree wind chill made A LOT of difference. <br /> The project manager contacted me throughout the delay period with updates. He called more than 48 hours prior to the new start date. I was advised to remove any artwork from outside walls just in case the work on the roof caused vibrations that might result in a picture falling off the wall. No other roof worker had ever suggested this. Nice. <br /> The crew arrived, dumpster arrived and the crew did a total removal of the old shingles, put down the roofing felt and cleaned up the project site on the first day. I was impressed and pleased. <br /> On day #2, the crew began to install the stone coated steel shingle panels but discovered there was material for my job that had been used on another job in error. The project manager called and apologized explaining that this would result in a delay of a day or two but that the roof was fully weather proof. (I hope so; the wind is going to hit 30 mph today). I get it; stuff happens. Again, this was not an inconvenience for me other than I'd like to get the dumpster out of the driveway sooner rather than later. <br /> This day #3. I'll know more when I get home. But, overall, so far so good. <br /> <strong><em>Update - 4/29/2014<br /> </em></strong>The work finally was completed after Thanksgiving but not entirely to my satisfaction. Materials were left at my house (I had to call twice to get it picked up and some of it is still there. It seems that the workers who installed my roof have been fired. Great. There is significant scarring on the stone coated shingles due to workers' failure to wear proper foot wear and frankly, carelessness. Months after the install, I finally got a call this morning saying the materials to repair the scarring have come in and repairs will start today. Communication has been sporadic and usually at my initiation. The house did get through the terrible winter without leaks which is encouraging. For a job this expensive, I expected better but if anything goes wrong, I'll be calling for a no cost fix. <br /> Now, let 's see if this scarring fix gets done. I will update again. <br /> <strong><em>Final Report - 6/3/2014<br /> </em></strong>Everything has been complete for a few weeks now. The scarring was repaired, the materials picked up and the roof looks great (finally). The gutters with the caps that keep leaves, etc out of the troughs have done their job as well. Overall, the result is good. The process was somewhat painful but thankfully, it worked out in the end. Would I use them again? Maybe. Depends on price and scope of the job. <br /> <br />"

"Scott has an exceptional talent of taking a vague description of what I want and turning it into reality.  He is very busy, so it took a few weeks to get started, but as soon as I gave him the go-ahead he added me to his schedule.  He and his crew were at my house by 8:30 every morning, and did not stop until the job was completed. He took care of the design, materials list, ordering, installing, and coordinating with other contractors.  We added two very large deck/patio's plus he rehabbed my existing front porch to match the new additions.  He designed gates for all of the entrances to keep my dogs off the deck, and even made a door underneath my decks so that the space underneath can be used for storage.  The workmanship is great, and the price was reasonable for the time spent and the end product.  He also acted as general contractor in finding me a quality crew to replace my roof with metal, and has kept me informed of their schedule and when to expect that work to happen. <br />"
