Family owned home inspection business. We offer a 15% discount to all veterans. I understand choosing the right home inspector can be difficult. Unlike most professionals, you probably will not get to meet me until after you hire me. Furthermore, different inspectors have varying qualifications, equipment, experience, reporting methods and -- yes -- different pricing. One thing is for sure a good home inspection requires work -- a lot of work, care and devotion. Ultimately, a thorough inspection depends heavily on the individual inspector’s own effort. If you give me the honor and privilege of inspecting your home, I will give you my very best effort. This I promise you.

"Josh was fantastic. I hired Josh twice on two separate inspections. He was able to schedule me within a few days of reaching out to him. He was very professional and very thorough, taking time to explain everything he was looking for and anything that he found of concern. He saved me approximately 50 thousand dollars worth or necessary work, which would have been needed to make the property livable. I would definitely recommend his company to any perspective home buyer."

Home Check has been providing residential and commercial property inspections for 20 years. During this time I have personally conducted over 5,500 inspections. Let my experience work for you. My blueprint for success is simple; provide a fair and honest assessment of the property inspected, do so at a competitive cost and provide exceptional service all while never losing sight of the fact that you are the customer. Let the truth be told… there are many good Home-inspections companies vying for your business, there are equally as many Home-inspection companies working hard for the Realtors hoping to gain that next referral. In other words, they lose focus that you are their customer.

"Bryan has inspected two homes for me so far. He has been very professional, providing a thorough report and verbal explanations. I would go to him again for home inspections in the future as well as recommend him to others."

Lawn Sense offers traditional and organic-based lawn care programs throughout the Greater Pittsburgh Area. Locally owned and operated since 1997, we pride ourselves on providing outstanding customer service.

"So far not good. Very poor communication. I think my mistake was paying them in advance. They have NO urgency to help me since they already got their money. Maybe would have been better to pay as you go, then at least they would only receive payment when they visit. Was told two weeks ago they would be stopping out, and nothing. Last time I had to request a full refund, and surprise, they came out the next day."

COST IS DETERMINED BY THE JOB. TELL YOUR REALTOR, I HAVE MLS KEYPAD ACCESS

"I am so happy I chose Mr. O'Leary for my home inspection. It was easy to schedule with him, he arrived on time, and was very professional. Additionally, he is very responsive to questions before and after the inspection and welcomed any questions I would have in the future. Not only was he very thorough and provided images of readings and existing conditions, he did a wonderful job of explaining his findings to me while onsite. Many of the homes in my neighborhood are over 100 years old (including mine) and he was extremely knowledgable about the building materials and processes of old style home construction. I am grateful for the crash course in sandstone foundations that I received so that I do not make the mistake of trying to finish the basement. He also provided great detail and recommendations for what would be on the report. He also was very welcoming to my parents and my boyfriend (an architect) who joined me since this is my first house and I wanted to make sure that I didn't miss any questions. I really like the report he provided. In addition to the details, his color coding system was very easy for me to review his findings and prioritize the results. He also delivered the report the next day, ahead of his anticipated time. I am very confident in his abilities and as I have a number of friends who are considering purchasing homes soon, I will be strongly recommending his services. If you are reading this, I also recommend that you check out his website and give him a call. Note that the cost below includes the home inspection, pest, and radon. And his pest and radon teams were great. Also arrived on time and provided quick and thorough reports as well."

FAQs for bird and bat pest control service projects in Pittsburgh, PA

You're likely to find nesting birds in external areas such as your gutters, eaves, porches, and chimneys. Some birds also nest in less obvious spots, like attics or even in your ventilation systems if they gain access. A reputable pro will conduct an inspection before starting any work to check for evidence of where birds may have set up roosting or nesting sites in your home.

Leaving birds to roost and nest on your home creates significant risks that affect both your home's structure and your well-being. The constant droppings, aggressive swooping, and persistent noise can damage siding, allow moisture intrusion, and stain exterior finishes. In addition, the birds’ pecking and droppings can spread diseases and parasites, which can lead to escalating repair costs and health hazards.

Yes, humane removal is possible and ensures that birds remain unharmed during the extraction process. Experts use proven methods to safely capture and relocate both birds and their nests to secure environments. Professionals employ stainless steel spikes as a deterrent while avoiding harmful techniques such as poisons or glue traps. You can rely on trusted specialists who strictly use safe, noninjurious methods, thereby protecting the birds while resolving the nuisance.

Yes, there are legal considerations when removing birds and their nests. You must adhere to strict local and state regulations, which safeguard protected native species during nesting season. Special authorization is required to remove protected birds, their nests, or eggs under the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Migratory Bird Treaty Act. Observing these legal mandates avoids violations and ensures safe, responsible removal.

To prevent birds from returning after nest removal, you can implement deterrent methods. Installing stainless steel spikes creates a secure barrier that prevents birds from roosting without causing injury. In contrast, loose nets may entangle birds and other wildlife, creating additional hazards. A trusted professional will choose and install the optimal method to keep your home bird-free.

A bird’s nest remains viable for a period that depends on the species. The construction phase concludes within 2 days to 3 weeks, followed by a rearing stage lasting 2 to 10 weeks. Most birds become fully independent within 2 to 6 weeks, while certain predatory species require up to 2 1/2 months. This timeline can guide you on when it's safe to intervene.
