"Nick is honest, hard-working, and an excellent craftsman. I asked him to rebuild the gate in my privacy fence and, if possible, to make it a little wider. He came up with a great plan, and the results exceeded my hopes. He also came in under budget! I will hire him again any time I need handyman-type work."

"Rob did several projects for me over the span of a week (flooring and trim repairs, screen replacements for windows, playhouse roof repair, toilet fix, and crown molding repair). He was extremely professional and dependable. He gave me all the receipts for all the materials and had an itemized list for all the expenses. I’m very pleased and will definitely use him again and refer him to others. "

"It took 4 weeks from the time I contacted Josh Moss to the fence was finished. None of the delays were actually his fault just seemed as things would come up or equipment would would fail. I know for a fact they were on their way here and a wheel broke on the trailer that was loaded with all the boards and supplies for the fence. It took a wrecker to move it back to his shop. When Josh said it would be done on a certain day it was. His crew worked all day to late afternoon to complete my fence. He sent his whole crew to my house. Every time I called Josh he was available to answer my questions, if he was not he would return my call in a short period of time. Josh Moss is very knowledgeable and willing to answer any and all questions. I would definitely recommend Moss Fencing Company !! <br />"

"Daniel Mitchell gained my confidence from our first meeting. I talked with several roofing contractors, they all asked 4-5 questions and had an estimate ready in about 15 minutes. He spent over an hour with me, asked dozens of questions and offered a lot of advice and options. His estimate was not the cheapest, but definitely on the lower side. It was also the most detailed, listing types and prices of all necessary materials, right down to the cost of the nails. <br /> I needed extensive repairs on a back porch roof and had several other areas that needed smaller repairs, along with 3 layers of shingles to be removed. At the end of each day my yard was clean. He went above and beyond expectations to make my roof look great, right down to painting exhaust vents to match my new roof color. His company does much more than roofing, including windows, siding, and additions. I will be calling him in the future to do siding on my home. <br />"

"I requested information from Ozark Wood Care by submitting a web form I found on their web site. Less than 12 hours later, I received a call from Steve Schmidt who is the owner of the company. I asked him to come look at my house and give me an estimate. He said he was working in my area and would be by later that afternoon or the next day for sure. As promised, he showed up at my house less than 4 hours after our initial conversation. It is unusual in my area to even receive a call back from a contractor in a reasonable period of time, let alone them showing up for an estimate. Steve and Ozark Wood Care followed up promptly and did what he said he would do. So far so good!! <br /> <br />  When Steve arrived at my home he did a detailed inspection of my home to determine the services I would need. The stain on my log home had completely failed and he recommended stripping it down to the bare wood. He also recommended that we apply a wood preservative to the logs once they were stripped. The name of the preservative is ECO Wood Treatment. He claimed that it was entirely plant and mineral based, contained no chemicals and was safe for plants, animals and humans. The environment is very important to me so at this point he definitely had my attention! He also stated that unlike any other preservative, sealer or stain, the ECO wood treatment was MAINTENANCE FREE!! Wow! I know there are those of you who will scoff at that claim but it wasn't made by Steve at Ozark Wood Care, it is in the documentation of the manufacturer of the product. So we shall see. <br /> <br /> Steve gave me a verbal estimate on site and promised to give a written estimate no later than the next morning which he did. We agreed to the cost and he started the work 2 days later. Our experience with Steve Schmidt and the entire staff at Ozark Wood Care was outstanding to say the least. They did everything they promised they would, in a timely manner and left the job site cleaner than when they arrived. I would HIGHLY recommend this company to anyone that needs construction work of any kind done and especially for painting and anything wood related. Steve Wilson"

"He puts in the work to get the job done correctly and efficiently. He went above and beyond to even fix some items that weren’t listed and could have caused extra issues later on. Great attention to detail and could fix anything thrown at him. Communication was great. Glad to have a reliable, honest, and skilled handyman finally! Won’t use anyone else!"

"Log Medics have been cleaning, sealing and staining the exterior of our <br /> custom log home.  The quality of the work they are doing is excellent, <br /> and it is a relief to have this work done by professionals.  Anyone who <br /> owns a log home knows the importance of preserving the exterior of these <br /> homes.  I would recommend this company to anyone who needs to maintain <br /> and protect their property.  It was necessary for them to rent a lift in <br /> order to do the second level of the home.  They even did our exterior <br /> high windows.  <br />"

FAQs for deck, fence, patio or porch clean and seal projects in Plainview, AR

You should clean your deck before sealing it. Cleaning before refinishing is critical. If you don’t remove dirt and debris, you'll trap moisture in the wood, which prevents the new sealer from working correctly and can lead to costly repairs. Whether you need to sand, power wash, or sandblast depends on your deck's condition.

Sealing and staining your deck are essential maintenance methods that protect and beautify your outdoor space. Stain adds rich color and guards against fading, while sealant fortifies the wood against moisture and weather damage. Wood type, climate, deck age, and the degree of existing damage determine whether your deck benefits from one or both treatments. Using both options extends your deck’s durability and enhances its overall appearance.

Power washing and sealing your deck costs $500 to $1,700. This process combines the removal of stubborn dirt and debris with a protective seal that preserves the wood’s integrity. Effective cleaning eliminates harmful buildup, and a proper seal prevents moisture damage and wood decay, ensuring long-term durability and reducing future repair expenses.

Your deck must be sealed every one to three years to maintain its strength and appearance. Regular sealing is essential to protect the wood against moisture, mold, and harmful UV rays. A consistent sealing schedule prevents rapid deterioration and costly repairs. Inspections should be performed annually to determine if the protective layer remains intact, extending the life of your deck.

Leaving your deck untreated compromises its structural integrity and safety. An unprotected deck rots quickly due to moisture and environmental exposure, which means that neglecting sealing results in rapid decay and expensive replacement costs of $4,125 to $11,650. Sealing your deck is essential for maintaining its durability and protecting your home.

The sealant on your deck dries within a few hours and reaches full cure within 72 hours before regular use. It is essential to wait until the complete curing period to ensure the protective layer fully sets and resists weather and foot traffic. Proper drying guarantees that your deck is fully protected against moisture and environmental damage, ensuring lasting quality.
