"Jeff made everything super easy! He was very responsive, got us a quote quickly and was punctual. He patched 20 square feet of carpet and I can’t even tell that the difference between the existing carpet and the patched area. He was courteous and professional. Highly recommend!"

"I highly recommend this company. My foster dog dug up part of the carpet and messed up the padding underneath. The service was great at letting me know the approximate time to expect them and it was pretty accurate. The work done was outstanding. You could not tell that the padding was all messed up. And to cost was far lower than I expected. An outstanding company. I have already recommended to a friend and a co-worker."

"Excellent! Maybe not the cheapest but Nesheim's always delivers great cleaning, keeps you informed about delays or issues with the carpet, and does excellent quality control - checking everything went well at the time of service and following up afterwards to make sure you are satisfied. The technicians treat you and your home with respect. Regular cleaning has kept my ~20 y.o., 45-foster dog carpets looking good."

"Extremely pleased with the service, knowledge and attention to detail. Over the years, we've tried most of the local carpet cleaners with mixed results - none that we would rave about. This is the second time that we've used Liberty and both experiences have been excellent. Lou, the person who cleaned our carpet both times, was very knowledgeable about carpet and problems that can be encountered. Our carpet has issues that make it difficult to clean. Not because of their work, but due to the nature of our carpet, they had to come out again to deal with some problems. Other companies would probably just say that it's not their fault and there's nothing they can do about it. Liberty (and Lou) made sure that the job was done right, called to follow up and he even stopped by on his day off to check once more. Liberty may be a small company, but they represent real old-fashioned commitment to quality and customer service. On top of it all, their rates are among the most competitive. If you have carpet to be cleaned, I encourage you to call Liberty. Ask to have Lou do the job."

"Shelley came out to our house and listened to what we wanted to use our space for and then walked through the basement with us. She explained the different types of pad and carpet that she thought would work best to meet our needs and then brought in several different samples for us to look at and feel. There were several price points to choose from and we chose a carpet that was very comparable (looked and felt the same to me!) to one that we had found at one of the big box stores. We had done some and quot;homeworkand quot;, at Shelley's suggestion, and had a price quote from two different big box stores so that we could compare apples to apples. The Carpet Connection price was almost $2000.00 LESS than the other quotes we had received! We selected our installation date and let Shelley handle the rest. It was so stress free and we are thrilled with the results! The installers were very nice and did a great job. We had a lot of carpet installed (1000+ sq. ft.) and they were here the majority of the day. They cleaned up everything and vacuumed the carpet before they left. We have had the carpet for one week and love it! We would recommend Carpet Connection to anyone and we plan to use them again when we need to replace our bedroom carpet."

"This is a good company with a long proven record in the Longmont area.  We are fairly new to this area and found them on Angie's List.  Among other things, we wanted to find a local company for this service. They were very helpful every step of the way, from shopping, selecting, to installation.  We were very pleased with the carpet and the careful installation that was completed. We are very pleased with the final product. <br />"

"I had originally gone to Lowe's and had them measure.  Before I had even picked out the carpeting from them, the installation alone was $1,500.  They never called me back, and 2 weeks went by after I left repeated messages.  Finally spoke to the manager.  I decided I was going with Lowe's.  Found Donny on Angie's list..  Donny told me that Lowe's extra measures and then charges one on the whole installation and at the end says - "oh!  sorry, but look you have a whole room extra!"  I told a relative of mine that, and she said, "Yeah, that's what Lowe's did to me 3 years ago, now that you mention it!"  I think it might be a trick of the carpet trade. <br /> Donny let me choose my carpeting and we agreed on an installation Dec 1 after Thanksgiving.  He quoted me a price of $70 to have them move the furniture and $35 to remove and dispose of the old carpeting.  I couldn't believe that, so reasonable.  I think Lowe's charges $150 for furniture removal.  I also decided to go with tile in the kitchen and the entry way and garage entry.  Wow, Donny sent me to Emser Tile and with his discount we got a $15 porcelin tile for $2.35 a sq foot!  It was a close out and it is gorgeous.  Doug Kelly, from AAA Carpets unlimited and his crew installed the tile and the carpeting.  (see separate review for AAA Carpets Unlimited)  I could not believe how courteous, clean and efficient Doug and his whole crew were.  You could tell they were professionals who have worked together a while.  i was very fortunate to have them. <br /> Get a quote from Lowe's or Home Depot and then call these guys.  Amazing.  Also I got Dupont  stain Master Carpet ing from Donny, where the other guys had all polyester carpeting that is 1/2 the quality.  I am so thankful I found this group <br />"

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Platteville, CO

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
