"Original work started with removing wood siding above garage door and replacing with standard rough stucco, but evolved to re-stucco entire front of house to smooth stucco including removing wood siding around front windows. Work had to be done in phases to coordinate with contractor for a new wood garage door/jamb installation. They performed good quality work. They were on-time and cleaned their work area. For the most part, they were responsive to my communications (by text)."

"I’m very happy we hired Pearl Remodeling to remodel our bathroom. They were professional, extremely competent, and timely. I originally hired a different local contractor for the project. I provided the design with detailed scale drawings and dimensions that included stripping the room to the studs and installing a new tub with tiles. Fortunately, I am very knowledgeable when it comes to design, construction, and engineering, because the work done by the original contractor ranged from very sub-standard to downright wrong. I almost never saw their foreman, and good communication was lacking. They even damaged the bathtub because it wasn’t properly covered. Most of their workers were unlicensed, and apparently low-skilled. I became afraid to not be there whenever they were present. After watching them re-do several processes multiple times poorly (structural, plumbing, electrical, HVAC), I fired them and hired Pearl Remodeling to take it over. His foreman, Jorge, was constantly communicating and updating me. (BTW, Jorge has a degree in civil engineering from UC Northridge.) They stuck to their timeline, and were flexible with a few last-minute adjustments I had sprung on them. When I fired the first company, their owner warned me that I was just being too particular, and that all contractors are the same; and if I wanted the quality I was demanding, I would have to personally supervise their work constantly. NOT TRUE!!! Pearl proved that to me! Thank goodness I called them. We now have a bathroom that exceeds our wishes. "Tom Cohen and Joe Sapir were great. They went through the possibilities and options with us, including what we could do with our budget and possibilities for financing. We bought our house as part of a repossessed hillside property, and we had to buy it in "as is" condition with decades of deferred maintenance. We had chipped away at fixing up the interiors over the past ten years, and were ready for a major (and long overdue) overhaul of the exteriors. The house is 1,200 square feet, but the garage is basically two stories with the living area on the third floor. That means a lot of stucco to repair and a lot of surface to paint. We needed new windows to replace the 50-year old ones that were original with the house, along with a new front door and sliding glass door in the back. This included expanding the size of the windows so that they were bigger (and actually up to code). The insulation in the attic was very old and needed to be replaced as well. Our garage door was dented (by a previous owner) and needed to be replaced along with the motor. Our back porch was falling apart, and we needed that repaired and painted. Our back yard had little privacy and was too hot to spend much time in for most of the year, so we also had them put in a large alumawood patio cover that extends over the porch and most of the yard (to the edge of our garden). It was important to us not to just pick a "low bid" contractor and instead to get a company that would do the work with high-quality materials and skilled crews with proper insurance and quality guarantees. We wanted this to be the last major overhaul we have to do on the exteriors of this house. The crews that came to do all of the work were very skilled, and worked with us to make sure they were doing exactly the work we wanted. Each phase of the project went quickly and efficiently, with prompt inspections and "touch-ups" afterwards to make sure everything was done well. Tom and Joe were very responsive and communicated well with us throughout the projects. We are very happy with the work, and we got our money's worth."

"Zohar at Best Builders Group came out to our house in order to check and see how and what to change in the existing kitchen. Zohar and his team of people did a wonderful remodeling job from A to Z. We were very impressed and surprised from the high quality of the work and from the professionalism of the workers. During the work, several issues came up during the remodeling project but the team and Zohar handled all of them with no effect to the completion date and with no additional cost. I picked him for a full renovation project, we did full kitchen renovation, bathrooms, knocked 3 walls down, exterior was completely redone as well, including a new pool, Stucco, Paint and new drywall where we knocked the walls down.
