"I did not know who to call and was a little apprehensive as I did not have anyone I felt I could trust. As a single woman (64), I am always concerned about any sort of service work and if the company is being honest. I found Drain Surgeon on Angie's list with 2 very good reviews and one from a couple of years ago that was not so good, but I decided to try them. They are located close to my home and agreed to call me at my office 15 min. before they would get to my house as I told them that is how long it would take me to get home. We both arrived at almost the exact same time and Tony and Nick were the 2 service techs that came. They were very polite, friendly and very respectful. I was comfortable with them and they did a great job and got the drain cleared with some sort of electric auger within about 15 minutes. They had accidentally broken a small piece of PVC pipe that goes into the wall but they replaced it and told me about it so that was a pleasant surprise as that showed me they were very honest. <br /> I would highly recommend them and will use them for any future plumbing issues I may have. <br />"

"My First call was yesterday after calling another company that was booked.  They recommended Bob Frame Plumbing Service. Bathroom sink faucets were leaking.  Bob Frame Plumbing thought that they probably wouldn't be able to get to it yesterday, but would try.  They promised today.   <br /> Today:  The office called to say the plumber was on his way, called again when he had been called to an emergency to assist one of his partners.  The expected duration of the delay was given and we were called again when he was heading our way.  He arrived, assessed the problem, had his tools and parts to repair the leaking faucets.  He was done within the hour. <br /> Pleasant professional man.   <br /> $125. <br />"

"We got charged $65 for a 5 minute job. We were hoping to have the new dishwasher installed while Abe's was there but apparently you "don't do that". I spoke with someone about cancelling the appointment for this morning (Krista?) as my husband had to go to work early. Apparently the message never got conveyed as someone showed up as my husband was getting ready to leave. Thankfully they were only there for a few minutes. Unfortunately, that was the most expensive 5 minutes we'll never get back. Overall, we are very disappointed in the over charge as well as poor customer service.  <br />"

"I was completely satisfied with the work done. They were very professional and even cleaned up everything before they left. I also feel like they charged me a fair price for materials and labor."

"First service date set, technician was over an hour late and then could not figure out how to install the thermostat. <br /> Second technician was timely and friendly and did the job well. However, there was a $59 truck/trip charge to travel approx. 5 to 6 miles (the distance from Shreiner and Sons to my home). I have never been charged a trip fee by a heating/AC company and found the fee to be extremely outrageous for the small amount of mileage driven. In total, we paid $239.25 for an $89.95 thermostat. <br />"

"I received my radon results in a timely manner. I did not hire them specifically, (so, I cannot say I would hire them again) the local company contracted them for this service. The home inspector I hired, handled this service for me and included the results in his report."

"Everything went very smoothly. They started construction when promised. The construction debris and tools were removed every night and the living area was left as it was previous to their arrival. There were no added surprises on price. The price quoted included material, labor and tax. There was a holdup on the shower door due to a fire at the manufacturer, which was not the fault of Seago's. As soon as it arrived, the door was installed the next day. <br />"

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Plymouth, IN

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
