"Work I needed done: * Attic Rodent Proofing * Attic Duct Replacement (from aforementioned rodents) * Attic Insulation Replacement * Attic Cleaning * Crawl Space Rodent Proofing * Crawl Space Insulation Replacement * Crawl Space Cleaning * Crawl Space Vapor Barrier Installation * Crawl Space Dehumidifier Installation I was able to schedule a time for them to come visit the property to get a detailed quote very easily through their website. Jeremy was punctual and respectful when visiting the property. He was able to quickly assess the current state of the attic and crawlspace and provide a fair estimate. He was also very knowledgable in advising me on additional steps that I could take to further protect my property. Jeremey also did a great job deciding on the type of insulation and vapor barrier that will be installed that would result in long term success in taking care of my property. Jeremy continued to be very responsive in answering my questions throughout the rest of the process. Omar was the foreman on site, he and the rest of his team were also incredibly respectful and worked diligently over the course of 4 days to finish up the project. Omar did a great job communicating work that had been completed each day as well as any observations he made in the attic and crawlspace. He and his team did a great job protecting the property while they completing their work. If I have any attic or crawlspace needs again I will absolutely reach out to Attic Pros and ask specifically for Jeremy, Omar, and his team. I will come back and update this review with before / after photos."

"Cruz the Estimator was very helpful answering all my questions when I was trying to decide whether to hire Coast Bldg. Products. When it came time to make an appointment to do the installation of my attic insulation Dominic called to say they had a cancellation and could send someone out the next day. The two men Jose and Rickie were on time, friendly and did a great job. I will definitely tell my friends."

"I needed to fix ceiling insulation after a major leak into the living room. The insulation was pulled up to allow things to dry out, but the company that did the drying (Stanley Steamer) said they would not put the insulation back. I called Ace because of all the great reviews on yelp. The bid was $650. I accepted it, and an excellent workman arrived on time as arranged. Here is the rub: The workman was finshed in 1/2 hr (!!!!!), and my jaw dropped. I thought for the price must be going to take at least a few hours. I had agreed to the price, though, so I wrote the check, as well as an email to the estimator for the job explaining how distressed I was by this. The email was passed to the manager of the Sacramento office, who called me right away. He said he would have felt the same, and that he would tear up the check and give me a new price. We met the next week, and he charged me half of the original bid. He gave me my original check and took my new check for $325. Here is what you should know about the price: The invoice had two *Service* items: a *show up fee* of $250, and another called *Work performed as per quote. This was followed by a *Quote adjustment based on actual work* of -$325. I truly appreciate the businesslike approach to the work: On time, done right as best I can tell. I also appreciate the response to my distress over the clear miscalculation. In spite of this, I feel overcharged even at half the original quote. The *show up fee* should have covered everything, so the maximum bill should have been $250. There was extremely little work performed, even if it was done well and professionally. In retrospect, I have no idea what the estimator included in $400 for *Work performed as per quote.* What did Ace do wrong? The estimator should have seen there was less than an hours work involved and told me that the minimum charge would be $250 to show up. If there were other minimum charges, such as a minimum of an hour of work, those should have been explained by the estimator so that I had some basis for understanding the bid and the opportunity to decide that the price was possibly going to be too high. The estimator said nothing about this, and there was no detail in the estimate. I believe I have given a fair revue for this disappointing experience. Ace has excellent customer service, and as best I can tell, the work was performed well. The pricing at first was way out of line, and ultimately still seems to me to be too high. But the job is done, and I am sure if there is any reason to, Ace will stand behind their work."

"We had an inspection and we had to replace the insulation in the attic. We were able to get a good deal from this company after we reached them via a referral.
The work that they did was very good and professional. there were several employees at the house for the 2 days work that they did. We do recommend this company for any insulation replacement that you may need.

FAQs for batt, rolled or reflective insulation install or upgrade projects in Point-Reyes-Station, CA

Batt insulation excels in vertical installations because it remains firmly in place and delivers consistent thermal performance. Blown-in insulation performs exceptionally in spaces such as attics, efficiently filling gaps in irregular areas.

Employing both insulation types according to their strengths enhances your home’s overall energy efficiency and comfort by providing a tailored solution for every space.

Start by measuring the square footage of the space, then match that area with the insulation thickness you need to hit your target R-value. Add a buffer for waste and odd-shaped spots so every cavity is covered.

Once you have a rough count, run it past a local insulation pro—their on-site advice will fine-tune the numbers and help you avoid costly miscalculations.

Old insulation that is dry, intact, and mold-free does not require removal before adding new insulation; stacking new insulation over it maintains effective thermal performance and boosts energy efficiency.

If the insulation is damp, moldy, or deteriorated, removal is necessary to eliminate health risks and ensure maximum effectiveness of the new layer. A professional insulation contractor will assess your situation and recommend the most effective solution.

Installing insulation in an average-sized home using batts or boards requires five to 12 hours. Using spray foam or blown-in insulation requires two to five hours. These timeframes are determined by the area’s size, accessibility, and whether old insulation must be removed.

Complex projects and hard-to-reach spaces demand extra time. Hiring an experienced insulation professional ensures that the installation is completed efficiently and correctly.

Insulation is measured by R-value, which defines how effectively it resists heat flow. A higher R-value provides superior thermal resistance, ensuring your home remains warm in winter and cool in summer.

Choosing the correct R-value is essential for maximizing energy efficiency and comfort, and it directly impacts long-term utility savings. Professional guidance determines the optimal R-value for your specific climate.
