Customers say: Quality work

"James was a pleasure to deal with, friendly, knowledgeable and prompt. We needed our concrete garage floor replaced, involving removal of old concrete and pouring new concrete. It turned out there was some water under the old floor (well under grade) so James added plastic sheeting under the new floor. Also pointed steps. He brought as many a 5 workers to the job, all appearing very competent. The work looks great. Would definitely recommend Rock Solid."

"Willie, from G and R did a great job. I highly recommend him to do any small handy man project. I hired them to do Deck repair as my Two deck wooden stripes were rotten as well as one Step need to be replaced. Excellent job. In addition, he fix my Shed door and lock holding wooden piece. He nailed my Shed roof singles which were damaged by heavy storm. He trimmed two trees branches and put everything on the curb. Willie was responsive and professional. He arrived promptly and gave me very fair estimate versus other two. His crew showed up on time and the work was done as expected in our absence. My Deck looks great and safe to walk. My front door tall tree looks neat. My wife and I are very happy with the job and would definitely recommend them to others. Best part Willie was always answering the phone when ever I called him and help me to answer all my questions."

"I have to say the outcome of my patio exceeded my expectations. I didn't realize how much work was involved when I asked them to create (an approximate 150 sq. ft.) patio for a gas grill for me. I had drawn an approximate outline for the patio that had no straight edges as well as to create a half-moon shaped step from my back door onto the patio. That step alone was remarkably comprised of 32 pavers - each of which had to be cut several times. The end result was a patio that I would describe as a veritable work of art. I think the term "old world craftsmanship" is a very apt description for this very talented company."

"The pricing was in between the other quotes I received - not the cheapest, but not the most expensive either. The job ended up being more complex than expected, as sometimes happens with construction projects, but David worked with me to come to a mutually agreeable, reasonable solution. I chose this company because when he explained what would be done, it was detailed and had all of the steps I had expected. Some quotes from other people left out steps that I expected. At the end of the day, I probably paid a bit more than I initially wanted, but I received a level of service and professionalism that I was comfortable with. This is a good trade off from my perspective. We are very happy with the way the concrete floor was done."

"Jorge was easy to work with, very attentive and responsive. He and the team did a great job on our porch and steps, they look so much better now and are much safer, no loose steps and railing. There were a couple of surprises during the work but Jorge took care of them quickly and at a fair cost. I recommend his services and would hire him again"

"I can't sing enough praises for this Father/Son Construction Corp.! Because it was imperative that all this work be done in the proper <br /> order, we had 2 or 3 meetings prior to the starting of the work. They were instrumental in thinking all of it through carefully and then <br /> giving us their expert opinions. <br /> We were given the schedule of the week, depending on weather predictions of course. <br /> Each and every day they arrived punctually and put in a full day's work and were back the next day, always on schedule. <br /> They were super organized with delivering dirt, item 4, gravel, stone, etc. <br /> They were super careful wherever they were working to insure nothing around the work area was damaged, <br /> Each day they cleaned up meticulously after themselves insuring that our property wasn't defaced in any way. <br /> Our front walk looks like a mosaic piece of art. They even asked if we would like to incorporate a few stones from the original walk, as our home was built in 1928. The father, Rocco, supervised every stone that was cut - shape, size, etc. and his workers implemented it. It was like watching artists at work. (and I want to add they did a new back walk for us 2 years ago plus an entirely new back landing which is the identical workmanship). <br /> They assisted us in removing all that was inside the garage and adjusted the schedule to accommodate us. <br /> Their attention to detail is impeccable! <br /> Friendly, kind, mannerly, trustworthy, hardworking, honest....what more can we ask for? <br /> We have great satisfaction in knowing that anytime we need to have any type of outside construction, masonry, stone work etc. done, that Rocco Construction Corp. will be our company of choice and only a phone call away! Everyone should experience this work ethic! <br /> I will recommend them to anyone I can! <br />"

"Had used another company previously but was looking to change to another company. Found SealPro on this site, and after reading some reviews and checking their site I called and asked a few follow up questions. Satisfied with the answers I retained SealPro. There price was competitive with what I previously paid, but I can't say if the price was high, low or just right since I didn't get other estimates. Had to wait a while for them to schedule me, and that happened only when I called to inquire as to when they might be coming. I was told that due to the amount of rain they were a bit backed up (reasonable answer) and they could actually schedule me in a couple of days. They showed up on time, worked quickly and cleanly, and the driveway looks as good as one could hope for given what sealing does. The few questions I had when they were on site were answered well, and I felt very comfortable with my choice. Just have to manage your expectations because there were a few imperfections and I actually consulted someone I know out of state who explained to me what causes those imperfections, in that sealing is not a resurfacing and imperfections that were there previously sometimes become more noticeable with a fresh application of sealant."

"We needed an underground oil storage tank removed to complete the sale of our home.  Mike the salesman answered all our questions, Cheryl in the office took care of all the paperwork, and the crew removing the oil tank were top-notch guys.  We also had Steve-Rich re-pave the section of the driveway that was disturbed."

"Extremely happy with the entire experience, details are as follows: The job involved dealing with a car insurance (of the offending party), which proved to be a major stumbling block for multiple contractors (including those found on Angie's list), since a very detailed quote was requested. Michael Bellantoni's office told me immediately that they do have experience with providing quotes to insurance companies (which turned out to be very true), but producing such insurance-compliant quote would cost $100 (waived if they end up doing the job, which was the case with me), otherwise their quotes are free. <br /> Daniel Sadler, who oversaw my project from start to finish, showed up sharply on time for his appointment to inspect the site and immediately produced a very positive impression on me by his general professionalism and to-the-point business attitude. He was wearing a neat uniform with a company logo [in stark contrast to my previous visitors], discussed finer details of the job, explained how he would approach it (and that it would take 2 separate visits of the masonry and welding crews respectively) and within 2 days he emailed me a very detailed quote (which in addition was the lowest of all that I received, in one extreme case by a factor of 3) - so the insurance company promptly accepted it (it rejected all the previous ones) and sent me a check within a week. <br /> The job was scheduled within two weeks of the initial visit (about one week after me signing the contract - upon hearing that the insurance accepted the quote), and went very smoothly. Daniel was coming with each crew to give them extra instructions (and would stay on the job for the second visit when he was helping with welding the railing in place), and then would come later to check on the finished job (thus visiting the site overall 5 times, including the initial visit). Both masonry job and welding job were done very professionally, and the work site was kept clean and neat all the time, creating no inconveniences for my family members walking in and out the house via the driveway. <br /> I am a very happy customer and would recommend Michael Bellantoni Landscaping (and particularly Daniel!) to anyone. <br />"

"Amazing work - I called Scanapico landscaping and masonry to help me with a long standing pool masonry problem caused by an improper initial install of my pool pavers. They went above and beyond and I am so grateful that I called them. It looks amazing and they gave me a price that was just as fantastic. My only mistake was not calling them sooner. Thank you for everything!!!!"

FAQs for concrete patios, walks & steps installation projects in Pomona, NY

Most sidewalks rely on a ready‑mix blend of Portland cement, sand, gravel, and water that trucks deliver to your site and pour in one continuous lift. For added strength, many contractors fold in fiber mesh or steel reinforcement. This mix cures into a rock‑solid slab that stands up to foot traffic, freeze‑thaw cycles, and daily wear for decades. Expect a pro to recommend a 4‑inch‑thick pour for standard walkways.

With the right mix, proper drainage, and routine upkeep, a concrete sidewalk can last 25 to 50 years. Freeze‑thaw cycles, road salt, and heavy loads all shorten that timeline, but sealing every few years and patching small cracks early keeps damage in check. Think of sealing as inexpensive insurance for decades of safe, stable footing. In milder climates, some slabs push well past the 30‑year mark without major repairs.

Concrete sidewalks crack as a result of significant temperature fluctuations and heavy load pressures. The freeze-thaw cycles and sustained weight from vehicles or intense foot traffic force the concrete to develop cracks over time. Applying a premium sealant every two to three years and substituting salt with sand for de-icing minimizes crack formation. Regular maintenance and timely repairs safeguard the sidewalk’s structural integrity and extend its service life.
