"I had a completed Bathroom update from shower, tile and tile flooring. To kitchen tile floor along with the Dinning room and Hallway. The quality of work this company did was Outstanding!! From quote of project to time line. I cannot say enough about the expertise of the workers which matched their work ethic. Always making sure every detail was on point and approved by me. A full Bathroom update plus laying over 300 square feet of tile with full demo of both areas. To come under 3 weeks speaks to the diligence of their work. Every detail was 5 star and I would highly recommend this company. Along with this review will be photos of the project ( they speak for themselves)"

Customers say: Quality work

"Baldo Ambrocio has been working for us for several years and we have never been disappointed. He is a hard worker, does quality work and shows up on time. He recently replaced part of our wrap-around deck, taking out rotted wood and reinforcing it, then putting on new wood, staining and painting. He also replaced rotted railings and repainted them. We are very pleased with the results and have just hired him again to power-wash the house."

Customers say: Quality work

"I recently hired Erick's Painting Services LLC for a full interior repaint of my home, and I can confidently say they are the best in the business. From the initial consultation to the final brushstroke, their professionalism, attention to detail, and customer service were truly outstanding. The team was punctual, respectful of my space, and meticulously clean — they took great care to protect my furniture and flooring and left no mess behind. The color consultation was incredibly helpful; their expert provided thoughtful suggestions that matched my style and lighting perfectly. The quality of the workmanship is second to none. Every line is crisp, every coat is even, and the finish looks like something out of a magazine. They used premium paints, and the results speak for themselves — my home feels completely transformed. What stood out the most was their communication and commitment to satisfaction. They checked in at every stage, welcomed feedback, and made sure I was 100% happy with the results before wrapping up. If you’re looking for a trustworthy, high-quality interior painting company, Erick's Painting Services LLC is the one to call. I couldn’t be happier with their work and will absolutely hire them again for future projects."

"I really liked him. After he left though I noticed many mistakes where he hit the ceiling and painted over the wall sockets. there was paint on the trim also. There are a few areas and he needed to put an extra coat on that are very sparse but in all fairness we were running out of paint. $800 for sanding walls and painting kitchen."

"????? If I could give zero stars, I would Hiring this contractor was a nightmare from start to finish. The bathroom they delivered is so poorly done that I feel like I need to redo it entirely. They rely on subpar subcontractors with no professionalism or craftsmanship. ? Overpromise and underdeliver: I had to stay on top of every detail myself, doing the job the contractor was hired to manage. ? Unreliable: Never kept appointments or confirmed schedules. The only time they showed up on time was to collect payment. ? Unsafe practices: At one point, a subcontractor was cutting concrete inside the bathroom with a gas?powered tool, filling my entire home with smoke. I had to intervene to stop it and argue just to get basic protections like tarps in place. ? Poor management: Subcontractors openly complained about not being paid, and I even had to send one home myself because of unacceptable behavior. ? End result: Substandard work that does not reflect the money spent. Save yourself "
FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Poquonock, CT

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
