"I originally contacted Dr. Fix for a proposal to address poor kitchen ventilation in two rental units. Alex from Dr. Fix responded immediately and showed up on time for our same day appointment. He walked me through all of the options. He clearly understood the challenges of making upgrades to an old 1929 building. Alex is a smart, honest business person. He recommended a simple but effective solution -- a solution that wouldn't make him tons of money, but that made the most sense. He earned my trust. During his visit, two of my tenants approached me with repair needs (this always seems to happen). Thankfully, Alex had the skill to immediately address four or five repairs on the spot, saving me from having to schedule my handyman. Alex did a superior job on those tasks. He informed me that Dr. Fix does a variety of home repairs and remodeling projects, not simply appliance installation. If you need something done at your home or rental property, I'd call Dr. Fix to see if they handle it. The service and professionalism is top notch."

"Service went very well. I Purchased our Maytag dryer in 1999. It's been extremely reliable. Recently it began making a loud squeaking noise when running. I called US Standard this morning about the problem and their rep. said they would have someone out that afternoon between 1 and 5. Boris arrived here at about 1:30PM, took the machine apart, checked that the motor was OK, said drum support assembly was the problem and should be replaced. He had the appropriate parts in his van and installed the new parts which included drive belt, idler pully, drum support rollers, and front glides. Boris was professional, customer oriented, clearly knowledgeable. Entire service call took a little over an hour. I would definitely call US Standard Appliance Repair to repair our major appliances."

"It went well. Based on my research on google, there are 2 possible area that may cause the icemaker to not work. Now I could do a "trial and error" to figure out if I have a bad ice maker or I have a bad water module but that would be costly and time consuming. Got this $40 deal from Angie's list. The guy came out and was able to tell us that the ice maker is kaput. Gave us an estimate of $300 for parts and labor to fix (To which we all laughed.. but that's how it works!) Not gonna spend $300 to repair the icemaker in a 10 yrs old Fridge that is worth a few hundred bucks on craigslist. I was able to ordere the ice maker online for $35 and watch youtube video of step-by-step. 10 mins is all it took for do-it-myself and VIOLA!! It works now!! This was a GREAT $40 deal and I highly recommend these guys."
