"We had Jeff enclose an existing covered 13â x13â deck. The project included design, framing, window & door installation, underlayment, trim, siding, and paint. Jeff is a craftsman. Every detail was carefully attended to and the end result is better than we imagined. He was on schedule with no surprises. He gracefully incorporated some small changes. We feel so fortunate to have found him. Through conversation with him listening carefully to me as to what was important, we came up with the design together. Everyone in the neighborhood is praising the work, saying how beautiful it is and how it fits perfectly with the house. 2 neighbors are considering him for similar projects. Besides the great work, he is really pleasant to have around. He is a good person."

"Donovan is a skilled craftsman. He is professional, honest, and conscientious. He replaced the skirting on our double-wide and, besides making the skirting look better than the house, he made two very nice-looking little doors to allow us to access under our house. He also made a very good suggestion of adding a line of caulk around the house above the skirting. He came in below his estimate. I will definitely hire him again if I have another project."

"After purchasing an Angie's List Deal, I received the measuring kit in the mail promptly. The template and instructions provided to draw my split table top and each of the leaves were easy to use and understand. I mailed the completed materials and received the table pads very quickly. The table splits in the middle to allow insertion of up to 3 additional leaves. The table also has 2 drop leaves. That's 7 pads. All fit perfectly. I have used them on the table for family parties (not every day) and they're durable and built to last. I keep them in the box they arrived in to protect them when not in use. These are a worthwhile investment."

"Professional, and very reliable, Greg FixIt owner Greg, renovated a house for us which could not be rented before. From roof work, exterior painting, shutter installation, and directing vegetation clearing and trimming around the house,...to interior living room hard floor leveling, replacing all doors, totally re-doing the laundry room (laying ceramic floor tiles down, replacing the plumbing , the wiring, the water-heater, the washer and the dryer) , thorough cleaning, re-wiring of the whole house, installing new fixtures, appliances, and decorations , and repainting interior and exterior of house, and finally ensuring that all work is up to code and meet required standards. Greg gives very appreciated impartial advice: we are long-distanced owners, and rely on him. Greg always discusses all aspects of the remodeling with us, advises against unnecessary work, and gave us solid and well-grounded suggestions. Greg FixIt is currently remodeling the bathroom shower area in another house for us, emailing photographs to inform us on the progress of his company's work. Greg is a knowledgeable, experienced professional who is also an affable person, easy to work with, very cooperative, and totally reliable: we trust him with shopping for us after we informed of our choice of appliances, we have an excellent rapport with him. Greg will go as far as having our furniture assembled for us to get the house ready for renting. We cannot thank him enough, and we recommend him highly!"

"They did an absolutely fantastic job. They went above and beyond! They hauled off all the cuttings except some for fire wood. Their cost was reasonable, and it was well worth every penny. They were very nice people, good at what they were doing, and I'd recommend them to anybody."

FAQs for interior trim and decorative moldings repair projects in Port Angeles, WA

While the terms 'trim' and 'molding' are often used interchangeably, they serve different purposes in home design. Trim refers to materials installed at the junctions of walls, ceilings, and floors, providing a seamless and functional transition. Molding, on the other hand, is a decorative type of trim crafted specifically to enhance your interior's visual appeal. For personalized recommendations that match your home's style, consult a professional contractor.

Repairing or replacing trim throughout your entire home takes six hours. If you're focusing on just a single room or a small section, you can expect the project to take one to two hours to complete. The process includes removing the old trim, carefully measuring and cutting new pieces, and precisely installing them to achieve a polished and lasting result.

Selecting the right trim is key to enhancing your home's overall design. Common options include shoe molding, quarter-round, baseboards, crown molding, chair rails, and picture rails. The best choice depends on where you're installing it, your personal style preferences, and your budget. Consulting a knowledgeable contractor can help you find the perfect trim to elevate your interior's appearance.
