"I arranged to meet with Chad to get a quote for the ColorFlake garage floor coating. He explained there was a 400 square feet minimum charge, and my garage was just below that; so I asked him to round up to 400. He had several large swatches with different colors/chip sizes. <br /> On the morning of the treatment, two technicians arrived at the agreed time. We had emptied the garage and painted the walls. We have a water softener system consisting of two tanks that sat on the garage floor. We had the option of temporarily removing these or having the techs just cut in around. We decided to leave alone. Apparently, most homeowners do the same. <br /> The techs started by preparing the floor, which involved grinding down the surface and repairing any flaws. Although the floor was in good shape, this took at least 3 hours (very thorough). Then they laid down the epoxy coating, followed by the color flakes. They let this set and then added the top, no slip coating. All of the concrete, both horizontal and vertical surfaces, from wall to wall was covered. The result looks great. <br /> You need to wait 24 hours to walk on the floor and 72 hours before putting your vehicles in the garage. We had a few bubbles that showed up after 24 hours, so we asked if these could be fixed. Even tough we were out of town the following weekend, Surface Systems came over on a Saturday to sand the entire floor and re apply the top clear coating. The results are fantastic. They have a policy that they will not ask for payment until you are happy with the results. <br /> We then added a base board around the entire garage. We are very pleased with the results and get endless compliments. <br />"
