"Sear electric and their team were great. We had two projects, the first was to pull a 40amp line to charge my Tesla from one side of my house to the other and install the appropriate Nema outlet. And the other extend a standard 110 outlet outdoors to a new location. Both projects look and work great. The team was on time and the detail of the work is great. "I called several companies on New Year's Day and they had no service today or their fee to just show up was $400 without repairs. I was housing 3 flood victims of which 2 were recovering from recent serious surgeries and in electric hospital beds that were not working. I was told by 2 companies that the first available appointment would be Thursday the 4th. I called OnTime and explained my situation and their service man, Carlos, was here within an hour. He first checked the main box because one breaker would not come on then checked every outlet in the 4 areas of the house without service until he found the problem which was a GFI outlet & transformer located outside on the front wall of the house. He found the transformer had blown and fried everything in that outlet and cut off all service connected in that line. It took a while to find the problem but he was persistent until he found the source and replaced both the GFI plug and transformer, He then rechecked to be sure all other areas that were off were now working. Carlos was very professional, polite, and explained what had happened. Another company had previously done work for me and installed a new larger electrical box. At that time they had told me they were installing a "whole house surge protector" and Carlos showed me that I did not have any whole house surge protector and that what they had claimed to be a surge protector was no such thing. I was not happy to discover that for 3 years I had thought I had something and did not. Carlos will return next week and install a surge protector to cover the entire house. I am very pleased with the work done today. I am not so pleased with the price, however, the holiday charge was half of what the other companies I had called were charging and I got prompt efficient service that was badly needed under the circumstances. My house guests now have operating hospital beds again and that was a definite priority. We also now have internet and cable which would have been difficult to go without for 4 days."

"When I requested the service from Curtis for Saturday I understood the cost would be $142.50 per hour. However, Curtis described how they did not charge extra for having a helper accompany the electrician. I interpreted this to mean that two people would be dispatched to do the work, The cost seemed reasonable for two people on a Saturday. Only one person came and he was not an electrician. He was a journeyman. The estimated time for completing the work was 4 hours. The work was not completed in 10 hours (2 hours for lunch) after which I sent the journeyman home and resolved to complete the work myself. The quality of the electrical aspect of the work seems acceptable. The only error I have discovered so far is that the light switch was installed upside down. I have not yet installed the fan units, so I have to reserve judgement on those electrical connections. Had a helper been dispatched with the journeyman I think the work would have proceeded according to the 4 hour time estimate that Curtis originally made. After some discussion Curtis reluctantly reduced the number of hours to 6 from the 8 hours charged by the journeyman. Overall this performance seems about average for a service company. In the future I will search for above average performers.

"Jose brought a team and they began working on replacing the smoke detectors, replacing the diverter and tub stopper - which turned into a trial as the diverter was an old piece and he had to go all over town to find a replacement. He installed electrical GFCI outlets in the kitchen, two baths, one in garage and one outside - and went above and beyond by replacing the receptacle housings as well. He also found a leak behind the tub and repaired it after asking permission. the cost was very reasonable and it would have cost me three times as much with a plumber. I would use Jose again and have recommended him to my realtor and other friends. Great job!"

"Overall the experience went GREAT! HQ Electrical was recommended to me by a friend, so I called and told them everything I wanted done, and they gave me a rough estimate over the phone. The estimate they gave me was EXTREMELY reasonable compared to anyone else I had looked at (and trust me we did our research.) After getting a rough estimate, we scheduled an appointment for the Electrician to come out and give us an actual quote after seeing our home. He was on time and ready to go! The gentleman that came out  was very sweet, professional and extremely knowledgeable. He gave us some suggestions on what he thought would look good as far as fixtures go, and placement and of course we took his advice. After that was said and done, we scheduled for HQ to come to our house and start the process. SURPRISINGLY, the same gentleman that gave us the quote was the same person that did the work on our home. When dealing with contractors, you RARELY see the guy that gives you a quote, put on his tool belt and start doing the work. We were quite impressed. Pricing was extremely affordable, did I mention that they provided all of the fixtures, plugs, and switches?! The work was completed, and now our house feels like a home! I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company to any/everyone looking for an electrician that you can trust at a price you can afford!
