"I initially called to replace one sliding closet door panel and to adjust 2 closets with older tracks and doors that kept falling off. The first crew that came measured and photographed the panel to be replaced, and manipulated the other closets a bit to get them back on track.  Unfortunately, the closets needed a bit more repair to get them back to normal working condition. When I spoke with the office to confirm order of my replacement panel, I explained that the closets still needed to be adjusted. A couple of weeks later the panel had arrived and was ready to be installed. The owner came to install the panel himself, and did the adjustment I needed on the other closets. This was not a big job, nor a difficult one, and I really appreciated him coming himself to see how he could remedy my problem.  He certainly wanted to be sure I was happy with their service. Their pricing was more than fair, and I would definitely call them again if I have any need for sliding doors.

He had rekeyed our house a few years ago and I remember him doing a great job, being punctual, quick, and no-nonsense. "When I bought my house in 2011, one of the features I really loved were the unique windows. They were all wood, handmade, and opened inward. The love was short-lived. It was a chore to open windows, especially after I installed blinds. The last straw was during a storm a few years later when the wind pushed one window open in the middle of the night. Eventually, all the windows on the south side of the house began to leak and I had to put tarps ups--very embarrassing. I had only gotten two quotes, but I soon as I met Chris, I liked him right away. He was prompt, responded quickly to my questions, and seemed very kind. I first hired him in 2015 to replace the four south-facing windows that leaked. I decided to go with single-hung windows. They changed the look of the house a bit, but not in a bad way. Not only did they prevent water from coming in, but they kept in the heat during the winter and the cold in the summer. Two years later, when I saved enough money, I had Chris replace the windows on the rest of my house. The front windows in the living room and bedroom were a bit pricey because I decided to go with casement windows (6 total) to keep the same look of the home. Instead of opening in, they opened to the outside. Those are really beautiful. I also replaced two small windows in my bedroom (single-hung) and a sliding glass door in the back. I was also considering replacing my back door (which is almost all window), but Chris said that it was a good door; double-paned and solid. He said it just needed an adjustment, which he did for free! Overall, this is one investment in my house that I am so grateful for. I am saving on my gas and electric bills, the noise from the light rail (which runs right behind my house) is greatly reduced, and, most importantly, I feel so much more safe and secure."

"Door spring was broken due to broom got stuck when door closed. Called and SoCal came out within a few hours and did repair. I was definitely impressed that service guy came out within a few hours and did repair.

"The quality of the finished work was fine; the two guys did the job in six hours and were clearly very experienced. However, they handled everything else poorly.
The previous Friday I had confirmed by phone that they would arrive between 7:30 and 8 am. They actually showed up at 8:45, after I had called their office to find out where they were--the office couldn't reach them and had no idea when they might show up. According to them, they were not informed until the morning of the job about this schedule, and couldn?t possibly have met it since they had to pick up the materials from Exodus's shop, which didn?t even open until after 7:00 and is not close by.
I emailed the president, Scott Larcomb, about this the same day but never got a response.
After the workers left I realized how much of a mess they had left behind. I don't think they had any kind of vacuum, they just tried to sweep up their mess into a dustpan, which was clearly inadequate. A job like this absolutely calls for a shopvac IMHO. They also left their dirty fingerprints all over the (white) vinyl window frames and (white) wall, including places too high for me to reach. They left bits of various construction materials in the track of the sliding door. They didn't finish caulking. They left one of the screws attaching the frame sticking out halfway.
I picked this company because of their very good ratings here on Angies, as a result I expected a higher degree of professionalism.
