"Beto and Sons were great. I needed to pave my driveway, a 7500 sf job, on a relatively short notice in the middle of the summer, their busy season. They came through. They brought their crew with their machines and completed the job in one day. A very hot day, I may add. I would highly recommend them and would use them again."

"Quick response and extremely attentive to our needs. At first, Nathan was too busy to take the job, so he referred us to another business. He called back a few days later to see if I had any luck getting scheduled. I hadn't. He said a spot opened up so he was able to fit me in that same week! Did a nice job cleaning, filling cracks, and resealing our asphalt driveway. The only negative aspect was that some areas of the product didn't adhere very well and was wearing away a year later."

"Craig Anderson and his crew (Mike particularly) provided a great service to us in doing what ended up being a double layer of sealcoating to a 400-spot parking lot surrounding our office building in Vancouver. <br /> After receiving bids from other providers, I was drawn to ABC as I learned of other work they were doing in nearby businesses.  Their prices and product beat the other competitors and I couldn't be more pleased.  Craig is a good professional who employs quality people. <br /> The work was done on dates convenient to our employees and calendar, and came back promptly to take care of a very few things such as some paint work on handicap parking stalls. <br /> Almost a year later, the sealcoating has remained solid, unlike other years of sealcoating in our 17 years of being in this location.  We have always had to have companies come back to seal cracks where it did not hold. <br />"

"Elton's team performed all work in a quick and professional manner.   Our initial plan was to repave the existing driveway and add in an RV storage pad but after he completed the work we realized that adding a roundabout to access the RV pad would be idea.   The roundabout required excavation and prep work that was done a day in advance.   They asked me if I wanted the extracted dirt saved and even helped us spread it in a separate location creating a new landscape area.     Elton's team also helped us remove a old carport cover and move it to the back of the property since it was to heavy for us to handle alone.  These little extra things made working with Action Paving a pleasure.   Elton came out to review the work ahead of time and after the work was done to ensure we were happy.  He also stayed true to his bids.  We will bring his team back at the end of the summer to seal the new work. <br />"

"We have an acre+ of lawn and mature landscaping which we have maintained ourselves for years.  Last fall we realized we weren't up to the task any longer so we hired Orient Drive Landscaping.  Mike came over and we walked the property with him.  He was very attentive to our thoughts and had many good suggestions of his own.  Mike and his crew did a wonderful job, pruning, limbing trees, and preparing us for winter.  We had them back in the spring to clean up the beds and prune things for  summer. We recently hired them back  to fix a low area in our back yard ~ approximately 900 sq ft.  Mike and his crew removed the old sod, built up the area with new soil and put down new sod.  It now looks wonderful.  Each time Mike and his crew have worked in our yard they have hauled away the debris, and have left our yard, patios and driveways imaculate.   I have recommended them to friends and family and recommend them to anyone in need of landscape services.  This is a wonderful company. <br />"

FAQs for asphalt paving installation projects in Portland, OR

Most driveways wrap up in roughly a week. Allow two to three days for installation, followed by an additional two to three days for the surface to cure. Concrete and asphalt follow this timeline, whereas a gravel job often finishes more quickly. Laying out the schedule upfront makes it easier to plan your week and your budget.

Sealer prevents water, salt, and UV rays from damaging the surface. Apply a fresh coat every one to three years, and you’ll slow down the growth of cracks, avoid pricey repairs, and keep the driveway looking sharp. A local professional can handle the job efficiently and ensure even coverage.

Material is the significant driver when it comes to the lifespan of a driveway. Asphalt stays strong for about 20 years, concrete lasts 30 to 40 years, and paver stones can last 50 to 100 years because you can swap out damaged bricks. With regular top-ups, a gravel drive can also reach the century mark. Knowing these timelines helps you map out long-term maintenance and replacement costs.

Repaving strips everything down and starts fresh, letting you change the layout or improve drainage before pouring new material. Resurfacing, on the other hand, adds a top layer over a solid base, giving you a facelift without the need for a complete demolition. Go with repaving when the base is failing; choose resurfacing when the structure is sound and you just need a new surface.
