Small jobs welcome

"The contractor was very polite, explained all the details of the work required to install a new stove top. This job also required cutting the granite top to fit the new stove. His team was excellent in all manners pertaining to the task. Mr Donavoughn was professional, considerate, and quoted us a fair price for the work he accomplished. Thank you very muchð . I would recommend his team to assist our family in future projectsâ ¦outstanding work ethics as well as on time and kept us informed on all details as his team finished the work, thank youð ð ºð ¸"

"I had an emergency situation and needed a new sink that was embedded into old Corian countertops. I called Premium and Jacob showed up at the end of the day totally prepared. Within 5 days I had a new sink and beautiful granite countertops. The hard work, long hours and dedication to this craft is amazing and I can't say enough great things about this company. The price is amazing and professionalism is outstanding. I wish I could give an A+ rating."

"I’ve hired Carlos from CEF stone twice so far and both times his work has been exceptional. When he initially promised me he could have my entire kitchen templated and installed in only two days, I wasn’t sure if I could believe it. But seeing was believing. He did such a wonderful job! My kitchen came out so stunning I had to call CEF stone again for my media room."

"Steve was a huge asset to our home renovation. We purchased a 30 year old home that was in need of some updates and refreshes. Steve showed up on the day we closed to get us a quote, and go over each item in detail. He came up with a line by line price for each repair we discussed as well as an overall total. We knew we'd need about 3 weeks worth of work, so as you can imagine, once we got into things, we needed to add this, remove that, and fix this other piece. Steve was incredibly flexible with our changes and was able to work around and with the other crews that were doing painting/tiling/etc. He stuck to his timeline, his price, and his word that he was always on time, and he would leave our home as clean as he found it. I've made sure to keep his number in my phone because I'm sure we'll have other things pop up, and I won't hesitate to call Steve for the job. In the end, Steve had cased in a pass through shelving unit and turned it into a wall, he made a false wall above our mantle so that we could have power and cable above our fireplace, he delivered and replaced all our toilets, he repaired a toilet flange that was too high, he removed our built in communication system and patched the drywall, removed an old built-in 'breadbox' attached to our cabinets, installed a new countertop on our wet bar, and the list goes on and on. All the work he did was top notch and we couldn't be happier with the end result!"

"We contracted Greg Pappas, Pappas Enterprises LLC to resurface/rebuild our very large (approximately 1200 Sq Ft) elevated deck. The scope of work included removing/replacing existing wooden decking material, handrails, and three sets of stairs and stair rails as well as 3 gates. The project scope was broadened shortly afterwards to include replacing 3 of 15 support posts, as well as the deck joists supporting the lower level of the deck. Greg and Jeremy preformed the work completely, exceeding our expectations; which is probably because they both believe in placing QUALITY before QUANTITY as it relates to their work. The jobsite was well maintained throughout the process, to include cleaning up the area daily; saw cuts were tightly fitted to each other. The obvious question is would we hire Pappas Enterprises again? The answer is YES and without hesitation. If we could give them a 'SOX STAR RATINGS', I would. That said, they've fully earned a 5 Star rating. Call them, you WON'T be disappointed."

FAQs for stone slab countertops installation (granite, marble, quartz, etc) projects in Portland, TN

Soapstone countertops are durable, environmentally friendly, easy to maintain, non-porous, heat-resistant, and naturally antibacterial. They resist stains and cracks, making them a practical and long-lasting choice. However, soapstone has limited color options and can have visible seams in larger installations. It may also scratch or chip if not handled carefully and tends to have a higher initial cost than other materials. Overall, if you're looking for a functional and aesthetically pleasing countertop, soapstone is a solid choice despite these minor drawbacks.

Soapstone countertops typically come in light to dark gray, often with blue or green undertones. One of the unique features of soapstone is that it deepens in color over time, developing a rich patina that adds to its charm. Each slab is unique, with natural streaks and veining that become more pronounced as the countertop ages, giving your kitchen or bathroom a dynamic and evolving look.

With proper care, soapstone countertops can last 50 years or more. Regular cleaning with mild detergents and occasional applications of mineral oil to enhance the natural patina will keep your countertops looking beautiful. Thanks to its durable nature, soapstone stands up well for daily use, making it a wise long-term investment for your home.

Sealing isn't necessary for soapstone countertops. Soapstone is naturally non-porous and antibacterial, resists stains, and doesn't harbor bacteria. While you don't need to seal it, applying mineral oil occasionally can enhance its natural beauty and help develop a rich patina over time. This simple maintenance keeps your countertop looking its best for years to come.
