"The whole project went exceptionally well. They were able to start within 10 days. A full crew worked diligently from about 9am to 4pm daily and on very hot days. The project was completed in one week. My suggestion to anyone who is thinking of a backyard landscape project is to have a design in place prior to meeting with landscapers. This includes not just layout but also the type of foliage, hardscape, irrigation needs you want. Do your research in advance. C & H was the only landscaper that was responsive to my needs and desires and not only was amenable to them, they met those needs without flaw. They didn't try to upsell, were down-to-earth and accommodating. Prior to discovering C&H, I had interviewed a couple of other landscaping firms. One was not communicative and the other was not as interested in my design plan but what he wanted to do. Keep in mind most extensive landscaping jobs can be costly, but if you want to do the job right, be prepared to pay more because you will really not want to have to redo a botched job. I am really happy with the result and I am looking forward to spending more time in my new yard. I highly recommend C & H to anyone who is looking for quality work."

Stephen started work on Thursday, the 22nd. He did a phenomenal job, and left the job site very clean. I am very happy with all aspects of the irrigation overhaul. "John arrived exactly when he said he would be here.  He helped us finish covering the driveway pavers and then carefully dumped 15 cubic yards of gorilla hair mulch in our driveway.  He knew exactly how much room we needed for it and he was right.  The gorilla hair mulch was very good quality, much better than we had seen elsewhere.  We were very pleased to have found San Diego Mulch.

"He's worked for us for a number of years. He consistently cleans up and mows a steep slope we have in the back. He's also worked on a few hardscape projects. He's worked on the sprinkler system, put in a stucco retaining wall, installed a paver boundary for the grass. He also does landscape lighting! I honestly don't call anybody else for my landscaping work. He's an versatile problem solver, and overall, does excellent work."

In June of 2014, Down aunder Services landscaped our entire backyard (almost a third of an acre), transforming a rocky, dirt-filled wasteland into a gorgeous, lush space with a tiered hill and grass. "What we got is beautiful court yard and landscaping. Frank helped us develop and improve our ideas. Our yard is a show piece; we've gotten countless complements from neighbors and passers by. Frank's crew are truly craftsmen, are courteous and punctual. This job entailed wood fencing with gates, masonry wall, concrete laying and stamping, interlocking pavers, landscaping, drainage system, lighting and an irrigation system. Work was done efficiently and quickly. Frank, Dawn and Ashley were easily accessible to answer questions."

"My wife and I hired California Smartscapes to complete a 100,000 plus landscaping job at our home in Bay Park. As you can tell by the photos it turned out amazing!
