"In late fall, I noticed that a piece of a stone wall abutting my driveway had broken off and was drifting into the driveway. Concerned that the wall would fall into the driveway, I contacted Quinn Brothers Masonry. They came out within two days, assessed the situation and gave me an estimate. The work involved taking down both walls, knocking off old mortar on the stones, and removing ivy. After the walls were taken down, protective covering was placed on the exposed dirt, and drainage pipes and gravel were installed. They then rebuilt the walls, using the original stones. While rebuilding the walls, Patrick Quinn advised me that my stone house foundation had been compromised by paint and old mortar. I authorized additional work to restore the foundation. The paint on the stone foundation was removed and the old mortar was taken out. Then, the entire foundation had new mortar installed. I am extremely pleased with the results and will definitely hire them again."

It was a challenging driveway to replace due to the limited boundaries on both sides of the driveway on an interior lot, some of which abutted custom brick walkways! "The pavers themselves look good, but the remaining asphalt still, after 5 months, has very noticeable bits of sand and/or cement scattered throughout which have attached to the asphalt and don't come off. Frank and his crew did come back to try and scrub them not long after the installation, but with little improvement. There were also oil spots left from their machines. They're disappearing somewhat, but are mostly still there."

They prepared the site and poured on two separate days to allow full access for our tenants to the building. Frank made sure the area was safely barricades while the cement cured. Maybe it was just a bad day for them and they may perform nice work. I based my decision on initial contact and interaction.
